Just before I was about to close up the shop today, a customer called up asking for a delivery order. Sure, I agreed to do it, it was kinda on my way home anyway. Order total: 13.85GBP

Got to the door, lady opens the door and hands me several bags of coins. Some contained coppers, one or two contained silvers. All I could think of at that moment was "wtf?". She tried to reassure me the stupid white trash whore "I've counted them, it's all there." I sighed, and just took the money and left, I wanted to get home and unwind, play some CS Source and CoD4, it had been a bad day. Well whaddya know, the dumb ***** miscounted, and I earned 1GBP extra, though there was a shit load of coppers.

So, what do you guys think is the max amount you can pay using the lowest denomination of your currency? My max is 1GBP in pennies (0.01GBP).

Also, you work in retail. Every single person who works in retail knows that if there's one thing you always run out of it's small change. She did you a favour, means you don't have to go for a bank run for a while.

If you got extra money and you feel bad about it, set it aside in your store and if she ever comes by again give it back to her. Give her a year or something, and if she doesn't show up in that time I guess you could keep it.

Although, if I misread the story, and you got shortchanged, then next time she visits your store and tries to pay in change then tell her that that's not going to fly.

Dude... really?

Anyways fuck coins. I just throw them all into a jar and take them to the coinstar when i need some extra cash. Sure I lose like, 8 cents to the dollar, but that's really not much. You have 50 dollars in coins and you lose $4 oooh no. I say that 4$ is well worth the hours it would take to count up change.
