(PC) Far Cry 3 Loading Issue?

Game was working dandy yesterday but today it's just stuck on that first loading screen.

Let it 'run' for about 10 minutes and I had to kill it with TM.

Any ideas as to how/why this is happening?

How? Why? No idea. Google told me to uninstall UPlay, make sure all of it's folders are deleted and reinstall it (might need to check the appdata folders to make sure you get everything, post didn't mention it but I assume it's necessary). Ending the WmiPrvSe.exe service is also suggested (you may need to tick 'show processes for all users' for this to show up). Finding and deleting your far cry 3 settings file may also help.

Hi people, just been having the same issue with the loading screen. I also have AMD FX8150 which was OC'd upon reducing to stock speeds the game works no problem, thanks for the info MrWizzy. This is mighty strange will be contacting AMD also regarding this hopefully an update will solve the issue but it is weird. Hope u all get it running soon
