PC game pad not working.

Right I got this gamepad [http://www.game.co.uk/Accessories/PC-Games-and-Downloads/Controllers-and-Accessories/GAMEWare-PC-USD-Control-Pad/~r351859/] for Christmas so I could play games like Prince of Persia Sands of Time that I got off Steam. I loaded the game up and when trying to map controls it seems my left analog is linked to d-pad and my right analog is linked to say YXBA buttons on 360. Anyone know anyway around this? As the games are basically unplayable without the ability to move camera and having 4 buttons taken off just to use camera makes the other games in the series unplayable due to having more control options.

Does the gamepad come with a standalone program to key buttons to? I think aside from trying to reconfigure it in game, that might be the only way to really fix this issue, as the game usually handles all the controls if it's a Game Pad in the options menu. :x

No it doesn't it only came with a driver. Thanks for that though it did help me solve the problem I just had to calibrate it a bit using windows.
