It's called alt+tab. It can be used multiple times to play the game or surf the interwebz. Lulz
Dude windowed mode for the win :D

OP because unlike or 'simplified' brethren we can play games & browse & watch TV & do other stuff & even more stuff due to the ability of a PC to multi-process and utilize a thing called windows.
Quoted for truth.

Yesterday I was playing Fallout 3 on the 360 and using my laptop to listen to music, browse the internet, download a few games with D2D, and chat with friends. My 360 also costs about 1/10th as much as a PC that would be able to play Fallout 3 on a comparable graphics level - and I get to play it in the living room with other people on a 42 inch screen while my wife sat next to me and fed me grapes. And my 360 never once slowed down, had to reboot, overheated, or crashed!

Just doing my part to contribute to the flame war that will inevitably come...

I haven't played a game since Thursday (or maybe Friday morning) of last week.

That's kind of funny, actually. I played Dragon Age every fricking day, even when I'd told myself I should hold off on it for a while. Then, Friday through Saturday morning, I was forced to glue myself to a website project that needed to be finished (stayed up for 24 hours to finish it), and since then it's been easier to stay away from gaming in favor of other things that need to be done.

I'm usually here whenever I do something else on the PC - write or read for the uni, check the news, browse my favourite sites... You know, we have other interests than games too.

And I usually spend a few hours IM'ing with my girlfriend. Which is a necessity when you live in a different country.

In response to the people who mentioned alt-tabbing - I don't. It breaks the immersion. The only game I played in windowed is WoW, which I play mostly to spend time with my friends anyway, so...

Also, I'm fairly sure this thread is premeditated flamebaiting...
Actually no, I honestly wanted to know why now why. I mean I am on here coz I'm bored and cant really do anything else with any entertainment value for some time.
Then why is your question directed at "PC gamers" specifically, instead of all the people on the forum?
Because PC gamers are already on their PC's. Console gamers aren't. I'm assuming most PC gamers that would call themselves "gamers" would have their PC's for thier gaming capabilties.

Because we don't like playing games for hours on end, we sometimes take breaks, go outside, socialise...

Hell, not all of us play Call of Duty or World of Warcraft.
 Oh no he di-in't!
Ok, thats not really what I was getting at. I wasnt saying that you are always playing games or on your PC's.

Oh, and if you mean if you mean that internet forums are socialising you are a sad sad being.

Well if all you do is game on a Gaming PC, it defeats the purpose of the PC in it. PCs were designed to do multiple tasks, gaming is just another one of said tasks. Plus, it's 6 AM and I have to leave for school in around a half hour which isn't enough time to start up Team Fortress, find a server, connect and get a few rounds in.

EDIT:

I don't think that's what he implied. That was a little uncalled for.

Because I'm at work, and surfing forums is slightly easier to hide from my boss.

Well thank you Avykins for blowing my analogy apart :(

Yes, as soon as you quoted me and said that I started hunting for that clip. So this entire time has been spent combing through the damn video on youtube, downloading it, converting it, snipping it, resnipping to get that exact bit then uploading it myself... All of the sake of a simple 3 second joke...
Thats how dedicated I am to you people!
That and I am really really bored. >.>
I soo need to get laid. -.-;;;
Wow...first of all that's absolutely bloody perfect :D
Second, I'm touched that you went through so much effort ;) I feel I should at least do something to counter-balance, admittedly with less effort...

That should do it.
And yes, so do I :(

Now this is a good answer the type of answer I was looking for.
