No I was simply making fun of myself. I dont judge people based on their gaming preferences.Parallel Streaks said:Well seeing as you referred to PC gamers as a master race, even in a quote, doesn't it imply you think YOU'RE better than THEM?
To be honest I'm sick of pretentious PC gamers calling me idiotic because I can't afford to get a high end computer which runs games, seeing as I'm forced to pay for all of my own gaming related items. I'm surprised my parents even pay for the electricity I use.
And you've been on like, what? 0.5% of what the internet has to offer?quack35 said:Wuuuuuuuuuuuuuut?
I've never heard console gamers bash PC gamers, only the other way around.
I'm not trying to be mean here, but it really doesn't sound like you're that familiar with the process of putting together gaming PC's. If you're going out and buying a prebuilt computer with the idea that you're going to then "soup" it up to run, say, Crysis then you're going about it all wrong. The motherboard probably wouldn't be overclockable, you'd be limited on physical space, you'd void any warranty you may have had, and the parts would be questionable at best, rather then of your own choosing. Not to mention, you would spend far more money in the long run. The people who are wise with their computers will build them from the ground up, with the idea in mind that it'll be used for gaming.matsugawa said:Buying a PC and souping it up to play games (or buying a particularly expensive, pre-souped up machine) strikes me as the equivalent of buying a limousine and turning it into a monster truck. It's just not the best use of the equipment. Operating systems are meant to be all things to all people, and therefore ultimately fail in most if not all areas.
Actually, a computer is likley more expensive in the long run considering the maintainince costs, perhiphials, hardware needed for a top of the line machine. Which almost immeadiately becomes obsolete and then needs to be upgraded or replaced.Desaari said:One could argue that a console is cheaper, but in the long run I'm not sure that this is true.
Then spend the same amount as any other console to get older, overall better exclusives that still work with today's PC software, like Diablo, or Starcraft, or the Grim Fandango. All of these will play on a $400 computer.Bradfucius said:If anyone ever bashes you or PC gaming at all, it's because you say that. That attitude is really annoying for everyone who doesn't feel like spending $600 extra just so he can play Big Rigs: Over the Road Racingiggyus said:i know that there arent many PC gamers left. Sadly, I am one of this declining "Master Race" (Yahtzee said that). I love my PC. I love playing games on my PC and in my opinion no console is ever going to be better than a PC (ironic, since I have a PS3 and ride it nearly everyday...). Of course, I get attacked because of this. People call me noob and stupid all the time that I love my PC. But I dont care!!! What are your thoughts about PC gaming? (Warning: to any console lover who wishes to call me a noob, i've heard it all so if you've got nothing intelligent to say other than insults don't post!!!)
