I seem to be finding these games to be few and far between. The only people who seem to make any kinds of games like these anymore seems to be Capcom. With their extra modes, unlockable costumes, random achievements for bonus weapons, gear, etc. It's pretty much everything I look for in a long lasting game experience, but they are so difficult to find.

So I was just wondering, if anyone else can think of any game that has these sort of qualities that they would recommend picking up.

(I was thinking of picking up Lost Planet 1 perhaps cause it seems interesting enough with all of its stuff, and since the sequel is arriving soon...but I don't know if I should stay with Devil May Cry 4...[sub]which is getting a bit stale because of beating most of its modes already, and going through it a few times[/sub], or to try getting back into RE5 or something)

Team Fortress 2 on PC has achievements and you unlock things for each class the more you use them.

Yeah, Essentialy this, You can also get hats, which can allow you some mild customization of your bloodthirsty mercenary.

Oops...forgot to mention I already own TF2,which I usually play at nights. =P

I'm sort of looking for a single-player experience...something to play and sit back and relax with, once I finish all my college work during the day/working out and all that jazz.

Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit has unlockable extra scenes by collecting things during the game.

I've seen a few suggestions on here. But has anyone ever tried/played the first Lost Planet (the Colonies edition to be exact). Is it worth picking up? I'm really just trying to find something that matches this criteria, or has an incredibly play/replay time...which is few and far between now...

It's either all multiplayer, or just extremely lackluster. =/

Killing Floor has a levelling up system of each of the classes where if you do a particular task so much, depending on the class, they level up which can have a large variation of effects when you use the class next. For instance, for sharpshooter, if you shoot the heads off so many monsters then you level up which allows faster reloading for sharpshooter weapons, cheaper guns and a higher chance of a critical hit for a head-shot. That's just off the top of my head.
