Heya all basically I recently went out and bought a new PC after both my laptops decided to blow up, as I needed a PC A.S.A.P I went out and bought myself a HP Envy 700 because it has a red light on and it's pretty( Don't judge me !).

I have recently been looking at upgrading the graphics card the PC I came with (Nvidia GeForce GTX 645) and being a PC gaming noob how easy would this be to do myself ? And is there anything else I need to think about upgrading ?

Thank you to anyone who helps out and remember no judging me

Here's a bit of insight [http://www.pcworld.com/article/2046555/hp-envy-700-030qe-review-its-the-components-that-matter.html] regarding your system. Should give you a headstart when it comes to considering options. I'm not an upgrade type of guy myself, but it's a very interesting read regardless.

Don't tell me you paid over a thousand dollars for this! It's f-ing terrible!!
Ok ok, I tried not to judge but seriously... What's wrong a with a proper custom build? And why you must spend so much money on junk..

Anyway... It's pretty easy to install a graphics card just watch a video guide. The problem is that your options are limited since the Power supply on this is a low quality 460watt one. Unless you change that too, you really shouldn't get anything more powerful than a 650ti/amd 7790

Heck, some places sell 650 watt supplies, like www.microcenter.com . Swap that out the card and supply. Any modern PC, even pre-built, will have at least a PCIe 2.0 slot for a good card. Still, the 650ti you advise should take care of most of his gaming needs.

As I said I needed a pc that day!. I would have loved a custom build but it wasn't an option for myself.
