Okay, my pc crashed recently so i restored it to factory settings, wiping all my games, i reinstalled steam today and my pc crashed, the reason was something had partitioned the hard drive, was it steam?

I need way more information to help. List every process that was running, all the hardware, your os and os version, and what you were doing at the time.
