WOW. That is an astonishing improvement to the visuals of that game. The comparison between the videos is phenomenal. I've only played it on PS3 though, and it looked terrible. Too bad for me.

This looks really good, but where were half of the pedestrains you weren't showcasing, you already run them over didn't you? Aside from that, amazing work guys, pat yourselfs on the back, well deserved!

Pretty. And props to the talented modder, but personally I don't value graphics enough (and it isn't enough of an improvement) that I'd bother with it.

I think I'd be something that the dwarfs from the plains can only build something like that. Meaning it will have to be a custom job. $3500(NZD)

Amazing. If I had GTA 4 on my laptop, and not installed that recent patch, this mod would definitely be on my computer. Always thought GTA 4 was covered in a brown gritty coffee filter. Looks a-freaking mazing

My only question is if it fixes the horrible frame rate problems the GTA IV PC Port had.

so... now it looks about as good as Saints Row 3?

really, though, if you compare the two they now look about the same... but Saints Row 3 is going to be better by default (purple dildo swords... nuff said)

the game won't even let me try to run it on the highest settings, so yeah, I can believe a mod like this being strong enough to melt my computer

uhh...really? i never figured gtaIV needed a graphical overhaul, and i still dont. seems to take down the frame rate a fair bit (which is to be expected); and for a sandbox game, smooth play is FAR more important than how reflective the pavement is....

cant believe i seem to be the minority in this, but...no, improved graphics are not nearly enough to make me get back into a game that got boring before i finished it. less wonky movement, less 5-tons-in-the-trunk steering, more actual sandbox stuff to do and less taking your cousin to lunch....thats a mod i could get into.

Sooooooooooooooo much better than the dark, murky, brown, and generally darkish-muddish-brownish visuals of GTA4. If only I had the hardware to run it...

Oh my, they managed to figure out how to Scrub Fallout from the atmosphere? Good! Now no more green skies over Liberty City! I'm still a bit annoyed after playing Grand Theft Auto IV and seeing how utterly horrible the colors looked. We all know that there's supposedly a lot of traffic in new york, but even then, the skies don't look like irradiated green

Anyways, back on topic, this mod looks excellent, shame that us Console Players wont get it...
agreed on these, although i think i have the requirements to run that beautiful mod just fine, although i don't have the game from steam and i dont really feel like "possibly melting" my crossfired 5770's

for me, its more that they buffed the shit out of the depressing ass shithole that it looked like at first, not even necessarily the graphics being sharper or anything else really, its just someone took a clean ass buffer and waxed+buffed the hell out of the whole damn game's environments, which earns a +5 in my book so i might just consider getting the game if it can fix that with the newest patch.

Purple dildo sword in GTA: San Andreas

'Nuff said about Saint's Row as a whole.

How would a 5850 and a QCore Phenom I @ 2.9GHz fare against this mod?

I suggest you take a look at the modding section of gta 4
It has mods that make you superman, fart fire, run like flash and what not.
It does improve the experience greatly

Check your TV, my PC copy of GTAIV has blue skies, unmodded. As does the PS3 copy my girlfriend owns.
