Greetings all.

I've started experiencing a problem on my PC. Whenever I turn on the computer, or enter a game, my screen resolution 'changes' - Or well, it doesn't change (still says 1680x1050), but the area shown on my monitor does.
Instead of showing my full desktop, I can only see perhaps 60-70% of it, with portions not being shown to the left and the right - Although, I can still interact with the icons that isn't shown.

This is constantly happening, and the only fix I've found, is to use the image adjustment function in Cataclyst Control Center. This just fixes it here and now, and as soon as I start a new game or alt+tab into an already running game, the problem returns.

I've tried to reinstall the driver, using a couple of different driver versions, but it still haven't fixed the problem.

I'm running with an Ati HD6870 card on windows 7.

Anyone knows what's happening here?

It might be to do with the actual screen device, try fiddling with the knobs/buttons on the front of your screen

Sounds possible the monitor might not be talking properly to the machine - especially if it didn't do it before and started without something causing it. Can happen with certain monitors - ensure your cables are plugged in properly. Try hitting the "auto-adjust" button on your monitor (most have one), and it might sort it out. Also check that's the correct native res for your screen (you don't list your monitor model number here so can't check).
Also make sure your Catalyst drivers are up to date, if that didn't cause the problem in the first place. I see you've done the driver dance.
