It's interesting when people invert or subvert genres. Breaking an archtype is just as pleasing as a visualization of it would sound.
I have very little in the way of Metal of any sort in my musical library, and I'm sure the Escapist would be able to flood this thread with suggestions, which would be overwhelming.
I think of from Dimmu Borgir's Fear & Wonder, or maybe Arvo Part taking classical music about Jesus and making it sound very violent.
Who can suggest to me and others a band (band(s) that well subvert their common-title genre?
