i got a lil question and i hope i can get a GOOD awnser bout it :)
i bought alot of games the last few days cuz there are alot of releases
i bought the witcher 2 dragon age 2 etc...
but when i get it in the mail there is always pegi +18 or +16
i myself am a 14 year old gamer and i do not understand why the pegi's are on a game( note i do not only buy violent games ^^)
for me a pegi is just for parents to see if their kid should buy this or not, is this the only thing a pegi on a game is for?

Nope. The government uses Spy satellites to track you down, by using your DNA gathered from the tiny microscopic blades that coat the entire game box, which inflict miniature lacerations on your fingers, and consequently sucks all the blood out. Have YOU ever wondered why your knuckles seem to go white when you hold in your hands, a game that you've been really anxious to get? Hurmmmm?! Have you? Have YOU?!

Well, yes, the PEGI rating system has no legal enforcement in Belgium (and other European countries), but it does in the Netherlands (and other European countries), so you may or may not have done a bad thing. =p Depending on whether the PEGI ratings only serve to advice in your part of the Benelux or not.

But yeah, in a nutshell the PEGI ratings serve to allow lazy parents to take in at a glance what a game is about before deciding whether it's suitable for their child or not. Personally I'd do my research using the power of Wikipedia and Youtubing a trailer, but hey, it seems some parents can't spare the five minutes to do that for their child.
