Over the years I've probably played most RPGs with differant groups, especially when I was back in college. AD&D, GURPS, Palladium (RIFTs, etc... I still play these online), White Wolf, etc... Most of my serious "Gaming" phase happened with 2E AD&D though, I played 3E/3.5E a couple of times with gamers I met at work (when I was at the casino) which met with mixed results since inevitably everyone I'd wind up gaming with would wind up getting themselves fired. :/

Of course later I got myself fired (years after the last gaming group) as a result of my emotional problems (long story) so I can't criticize too horribly, but still that was how my last attempts to seriously game live ended... and when you were in Casino Security it could get unuusally interesting trying to game with former employees (a few of whom were also security).

I've roleplayed since I was like 11-12 years old (I'm 24 now). I both play and GM. Right now I'm very much into White wolf's games and Call of cthulhu. But I've also played a bunch of Swedish games and different one shot adventures on gaming conventions.

I just started a DnD campaign and group with my friends. It's going well so far.

I am also one of the few people who still plays Classic Battletech too, if that counts.

I used to play a ton of D&D....I started with AD&D 2 which was really fun. Then I played 3 and 3.5 which where nice because of the streamlining of the rules that the d20 system brought with it. I haven't gotten a chance to play the new edition (4th). there are a ton of complaints that there aren't enough story elements in the rules but I always thought that the story part was up to the players.

I haven't played in about 4 years though, once i moved I never found a group of friends that were interested in it

I'm currently Game Mastering a Star Wars SAGA Edition game, playing in a heavily kit bashed Post Apocalyptic Western game and playing in a Pathfinder game (it's sort of like DnD 3.75) called Pirates of The Void.

I should probably mention, that I'm a member of an organized roleplaying club, so yeah, I get to try different things.
Of the above mentioned, I'd say my favorite system is a homegrown hybrid of D&D 3 and 3.5.

I'm in 3.5. Not very serious rp but we mess around a lot and have fun. It's amazing how creative my friends can be with a fireball.

Do tell. I've seen people be/have been creative with things such as ropes(down throats of course) and flares, but I couldn't think of any way to creatively use a fireball...

The first one to spring to mind is when my friend, who carries a backpack full of oil and alchemists fire for purely pyromaniacal reasons, threw the back pack at an enemy. Another character cast a fireball. Enemy gets hit with both the blast and takes fire damage from the rain of burning oil. Actually did a fair bit of extra damage (this was about 5th level).

I played DnD, Warhammer and Vampire the Masquerade (as well as Werewolf the Apocalipse). All nice systems which I recommend. Currently I'm playing Fading Suns, as the GM for 2 groups. For now, FS is my favorite. I tried Cyberpunk 2020 once, but I didn't enjoy it.

Almost forgot - a friend of mine will soon start a Deadlands campaign. That will be my newest system and gameworld.

That's the thing. Pencil-paper RPG's are non-existent in this country.

Of course I do.
I'm perhaps the epitome of the paper/pencil RPG goer, because I'm the type who roleplays the situations before putting them into the practice of the game. I also develop alternate battle systems every month or two and hold 2x XP events and 1.5X drop events and all that shiz.

Hell, I'm so nerdy I play MTG with custom cards.

I play 3.5 and 4th ed DnD, the latest World of Darkness, and I'm hopeing people can start playing them on the escapist because of the new dice roller. I think it would be great.
