Just saw something about this on Sky News over here in Ireland (though the incident took place in Britain).

Police have arrested four men following an attempted robbery of a jewellery shop in Northampton which was disturbed by the actions of a brave pensioner.

The incident was caught on film by a member of the public.

The film shows an elderly lady running at the helmeted group and attacking them with her handbag.

Police arrested one man who was held by the public at the scene and subesequently made three other arrests.

Detectives say a total of six suspects arrived at the shop on three motorbikes and attempted to smash the windows with sledgehammers.

After being disturbed they fled the area empty handed.

What makes it more impressive is the amount of people of a much younger age just casually walking by. It might be easy to say that these robbers are less likely to beat up an old lady, but they're clearly not worried about such moral conundrums, seeing as they're robbing a place for one, and secondly in broad delight. We need more people like her.
