Seriously, what's everyone's problem with Mass Effect 3? First, they declare it ruined after Whatsherface is announced, even though there's no way in hell she'll be as bad as Miranda or Kalisah. Then, the day one dlc. We already knew we were getting it, so what difference does a new squad mate make? He's already in the game even if you don't buy the dlc, the dlc just adds the chance to recruit him. And the difference (At least in the UK) between the normal and the special edition is £2. Seriously.

And besides that, it's not as bad as Skylanders, where they charge £40 for the base game, but you can't play it until you buy £30 action figures.

It just seems like every time they announce something about the new game, people say it's ruined forever, even though everyone turns a blind eye to what everyone else are doing. Just thought I'd point that out.

I agree with you totally. Though I do wish Bioware would come out and defend/explain its actions to those people that are upset with them. I am still excited for ME3 even after everyone elses complaints. Ill keep my judgement of it till after I have played it.

Isn´t that what always happens? A game is announced, people starts nitpicking on the smallest of details and forget everything else. And when they try the game, some of them end up liking it.

As for Mass Effect 3, I don´t care what people have been saying about it. I´m still getting it. I have done no research on the game and will leave my thoughts about it for my first impression.

Ok, where is this from? People keep saying but I have yet to see that confirmed anywhere.

How long have you been on the internet. This always happens when a popular game is announced. Also positive criticism helps improve a game if the devs listen.

What really bugs me about the whole thing is that people are just now getting up in arms about a DLC that was announced months ago, they just now know what it is.

Remember Skyrim? You must be new to the forums.

Also EA and their dlc shenanigans can go jump off a building. Preferably a high one. Face first. Into concrete.

Except that "positive criticism" and these forums don't even live in the same state. I doubt the devs are going to listen to "we should get everything for free cause this picture of the mona lisa says so"

Really, people on the internet just like complaining.
And people like complaining about complainers, perpetuating these arguments to a further extent.

Too bad we can't harness this energy, we'd have finally cracked perpetual motion...

There are a lot of small legitimate complaints, but the real problem is that the series has turned into something like a mindless Hollywood blockbuster.

Mass Effect 2 was a lot of things, but it was not thoughtful or intriguing Sci-Fi. The first ME had some blockbuster aspects, but we also had these deep galactic mysteries. ME 1 has better codex files than ME 2, at least IMO they are better because they go into more depth and flesh out the galaxy instead of being streamlined and simplified like in ME 2. If I played the 2nd game without the first, the ME universe would just be another generic action galaxy #XYZ.

So I saw where this trend was going. I also got fed up with the overpriced non-steam ME 2 DLC, that was one of the main experiences that turned me off to Origin from the start. So when I saw EA make BF 3 Origin exclusive, I figured they would do it to ME 3 as well and gave up on the game right then. Since then everything I've seen about ME 3 has confirmed that they are shifting to a mainstream Hollywood blockbuster style, full of the same tired cliches.
