Let us recount tales of annoyances for us all to go "ha, ha, ha, yeah, humanity sucks" at.
But seriously though, how have people annoyed you?

For me, a game of TF2 is rendered slightly annoying by a self-important fellow.
I state that a player who uses "the dead ringer" (a watch that fakes your death) annoys me personaly because he spends most of his time just messing with the enemy team, not really doing much other than killing people every now and in an objective based game.

Do you know what a guy says to me?
"What's your point."
I say "it's really annoying" and then he simply states "that's your problem".
What annoys me is not that he's right, I don't believe he is, but that he writes away my issue simply because he seems to think he's got more important things to do.
Then the issue of breast implants come up in chat and then I state my opinion and he's like "what's your point", as if to say "stop wasting my time, for I am a supirior being, fool".

All in all, his attitude rubbed me completly the wrong way and I thought he was a self-obsessed asshole who was acting like how he thought smart people were supposed to act.

So, let's here yours, guys, let us all vent.

Well in many ways, he's got a point.

TF2 is a game, and like all games it follows a certain rule set but is defined essentially as a framework within which to do as you please for no goal other than pleasure. If this means your team is functionally a man down because one of your team is being a complete tard, well that's just the way thing are. He wasn't TKing or using any "sploitz" so he's probably best left to it. Like when I built no buildings on Company of Heroes and tried to win a map with Engineers - it didn't work and my teammate quit in disgust.

Errrr, people and things that annoy me? Loads I guess. Errr. In fact, not meaning to be rude but sometimes what you posted sort of pisses me off, people take gaming online far too seriously. Games are just games, you play them because you want to have a laugh and that doesn't have to mean doing what the designers wanted you to do - griefing other players is crossing the line but everything else is fair game.

I'm not "taking it seriously", I just don't appreciate having my time wasted.
I respect that spy as a player, acknowledge his skill but I am unhappy that he uses his skill for wasting my time and contributing little to his team's success.

Just because he's playing as that type of spy doesn't mean I hate him, in fact I hate the guy who said "what's your point" more than the guy who was stabbing me every now and then, which may say something.

The main reason the "what's your point" guy pissed me off is because he wouldn't be asking what the point of my talking was if he actually cared and read it, but he obviously glazed over it and went "fuck this guy".

Lots.
Ignorance and stupidity are two of the most prevalent ones. I don't count lack of common-sense, because it's kind of rare to find people with it.
Also, girls (and some guys) who talk as if every sentence had, like, a question mark at the end of it instead of, you know, a period?(.) It's not that they're, you know, girls?(.) It's just that, like, the higher pitch of their voice makes it stand out a lot more, you know?(.) This also applies to some of those guys with like, really high pitched voices?(.)

The overuse of "like" and "you know" (especially when I clearly don't know) also annoy me.

As to the situation in the OP: It's an issue because that guy is ruining someone's fun. True, it's a game and should not be taken seriously. But when my fun time is being ruined by some jack-off not cooperating, then I think it's perfectly fine to be pissed off.

Cheating annoys me.
That's everything from people using aimbots in online games to criminals simply taking things that aren't theirs.
Also people trying to win a discussion by doing things like stating the same thing over and over to make it more true, using logical fallacies and plain made up stuff to prove their point, and not even listening to anything the other party has to say.

So, you're not a fan of the stubborn and the stupid?

Cool.

Heh, heh, but seriously though, I don't think many people like when people argue a dead point with them, beating the dead horse like it had previous uttered a mother joke.

Well, I'm what they call a misanthropist. I hold no hope for humanity's future and believe that future will mainly consist of us bickering and destroying the planet while we're at it. There's too many of us, and we're bleeding the beautiful natural earth dry. What we need is a good apocalypse.

Specifically, what annoys me is how self-centered we all are (I know I am), and how much we purposefully delude ourselves just to make life easier, how tribalistic and barbaric we are, despite claims to the contrary, and how pointlessly petty and on the whole annoying we are, myself included.

In the words of Bill Hicks, humanity is 'a virus with shoes'.
It's funny though, trying to deny we're animals is rather silly, not that you did, but I mean, we evolve, we age and die, like everything else, we're not above it all.

Humanity has always bickered, always taken what it could get and used it to the best and worst of our abillities.

It may not be perfect and we may not alway be like that, but we are right now and we've all gotta work with that, I suppose.

The fact that the ariel wire on the TV at work isnt working for some unknown reason is REALLY pissing me off right now, I have to hold it into the TV for it to work, And i cant do a 12 hour nightshift stood holding the TV.

I hate wires with a fiery passion, Almost as much as people.

And (no fence ferby) people with that attitude annoy me. The human race will always survive, because we can adapt. Sure the earth's getting hotter, But i know if i was in a locked room with a polar bear i'd be praying for global warming.

I also dislike whalers, and people that hunt Great whites (or any shark for that matter) for fun. Its sick.

Lots of course. Though I'm afraid people who go on the internet and complain about people who they think are less intelligent than them annoy me rather a lot.

Oh I'm sorry didn't see you there...

Oh we'll survive alright, and probably just end up destroying everything else. When I say that I have no hope for humanity's future, I mean I have no hope for us improving as a species from what we are now, dumb animals with pretensions to greatness.
But is there any other animal on the earth that has changed its surroundings this drastically?

Walk out onto your street, Look around you, There is technology everywhere, from the basic tarmac below your feet, to the streetlamps. When you think of the processes that the raw materials had to go through just to pave your road, It gets mind boggling.

Seeing humanity like a plague is such a hypocrytical concept - Any other animal if it had the intelligence or the numbers would change their surroundings to ensure survival.

People always annoy me, and have to prove that they deserve to exist or I will hate their guts. If they are a thoughful, decent person, then I will respect them and carefully consider everything they have to say.

If, however, they spell "you" without the "y" or the "o" frequently and on pupose or are generally annoying/represent the majority of youtube commenters then I shall fantasize about killing them. That may sound harsh, but thats how my brain works.

The difference between us is you see that as a good thing. I look at what humanity has done to the world and itself and feel sick to be a part of it.
I guess we just differ in opinion, Im all for bigger airports & things, People can go live with nature, But im going to stick to my warm spider-free house.

I'm not focusing on the changing the surroundings myself, in fact, many animals already do do that, but more on the innate arrogance that humans have, that we're somehow better and more advanced than the animals around us, when in fact we're just as cruel as they are, even more so. They kill for food, we kill for mindless concepts like country and honour.[/B]
Animals also kill for mates(as in, women), Territory, fun, Even for training (Orcas. If you've seen the blue planet series you will know what i mean). We're not all that different from animals, Nature is cruel - Babies die, The worst of the worst survive whilst the good fall, But if that is happening all over the world in the animal kingdom, as well as in humanity, then what should we be doing different? Im not saying "lets go with the crowd", But its not like we have some Extra Terrestrial Utopia just waiting for us to go to.

Yes, they annoy me, all the time. Mostly when they can't wrap their heads around the fact that I need to just not talk to anyone for a good long time every once and a while.

Just for the record though, I am no longer angry.

Spending about half an hour mashing my keyboard and explaing what happened to make me mad tends to get rid of a lot of hot air that can build up.

Good post, by the way.

People who are supposed to teach things, but actually have little knowledge about their subject. I mean c'mon, how did you even pass uni if you mix up essential things over and over?
Now add a little bit of ignorance and you get my biology teacher.

Seriously, she chances things she says in a matter of minutes.
"To produce insulin for diabetics you use bacterias..."
"Wrong! [*yakety-yack*] ...and then you implant this into bacterias."
"Wait, that's what I said."
"But wrong!"
"I... was just startin'?"
Then she just switched to another question. That's annoying! Stupid ****...

Well I use to get easily annoyed by anything and yell something like "SHUT UP" when I was trying to do something and people around me were ever so slightly loud.

But I just learned to take a chill pill and get on with it so sorry if my post may be a bit lax. Though I suppose if I were to put anything to this forum I guess it would have to be people who:

*Play their ipods real loud on the bus (Yesterday some bloke on the bus was playing his music so loud like all the commuters I could hear every slight nuance in the rhythm) or blaring incredibly loud rap music (Most of the time) through their car radio with the windows down.

*Ask me if I'm alright if I act ever so slightly different than usual (It doesn't make them bad people I just find it a bit annoying).

****** and whine about everything.

*Make long rants on the escapist about how the worlds got NO hope, that all the things that could be considered tradition or convention are wrong based solely on the fact that most people have been doing it for a long time, that their way is the one way or gutless cowards who feel all high and mighty because they ignorantly insulted some poor bugger just because of their beliefs and/or conventions.

That's about all I can think of in terms of people in general.

This priest once said, concerning the scientific theory (and in my mind, fact) that the universe was created through the Big Bang: "I was in Israel when a bomb blew up a building. Explosions don't create things, they destroy them." Everybody has the right to their own ideas of how the universe was created, but idiot logic is not a right.

Oh, and it bugs me when girls talk super-quickly in public. It would have bugged me if guys did it too, of course, it just hasn't happened to me yet.

You know what really grinds my gears?

People making stupid grammar mistakes, like getting "effect" and "affect" mixed up. Or using "its" to mean "it is" instead of as the possessive form of "it" (the opposite happens too).

Or when people use text-message shorthand when typing on a forum. Texting shorthand is for when you're trying to type out a sentence on a numberpad; when you have a keyboard in front of you, there's no excuse for not writing things out. (Exceptions made for when such idioms are used for comic effect).

Or when people don't use punctuation. AT ALL!

And whenever I try to set them straight (which is rarely), they call me a "Grammar Nazi". Well, guess what, asshole? NO INTERNETS FOR YOU!

You know what, I was never taught that "its" is the possesive in school, as opposed to "it's", and it's generally inconsistent with normal rules for possesion, just to make room for a contraction. It's confusing, and I'm hardly going to begrudge anyone who slips on that now and again.

However, using an aspostrophe in a goddamn pluralisation on a sign for a store made me facepalm into next week. "Bag's of style" it said. What is this "Of style" I said, "how are two separate words a noun, and how did an inanimate object gain possesion of it?!"

Also, to the so called Grammar Nazi, a question on capitilisation: when putting a quote in the middle of a sentence, does the first word in the quote get capitalised? (This is a genuine question by the way!)
