me and my friend had this discussion earlier on tonight.

our theory is pretty much this:

guys are quick to fall "in love" but slow to say it.
girls are quick to say they love someone but slow to actually fall in love.

What're your opinions/thoughts on the subject?

You have a point, although maybe the different genders define love in different ways.

Guys tend to see infatuation for what it is so they don't bring out the L word too quickly, whereas alot of the girls I know claim to be in love with a guy within a week of being with them, only to change their minds once the initial infatuation has passed.

Personally, it takes me a long time to feel what I would call love for another person, but when I get to that point it's an incredibly strong emotion that can't just be turned off.

Right now I have feelings for someone that many would define as love but in my mind I'm not there yet.

It depends entirely on the person, And on their level of confidence.

Or at least in my Experience.

Usually, it depends on the person, but for the most part, I'd say that's true although guys really don't fall in love easily while girls (teenage girls in particular) just say "I love him" just to say they love someone.

Young love makes me physically ill.

I think

Guys are quick to think they have fallen in love, when really it's hormones
Girls... can do whatever the 'ell they want, I can never tell how they think.
