I loathed and hated the idea of having to go to a pep assembly back in high school. It was made for people who had school spirit and I had none.

EVIL!!!!!. I still hate pep assemblys. I got suspended four times for being disruptive of the assembly.

We all hate them. So bad that when they got to our section of the audience, we made a rather bad word. Really loud. Pissed off the principle.

Our pep rallies are so terrible. The only team our school cares about is the only one we suck at (American football). It's stupid. Even the teachers hate them.

But yeah, pretty much. Also, the fact that there's a ton of people shoved into a hot gymnasium.

I generally disliked them, except for the fact that it made classes shorter that day. It irritated me that all they were was a celebration of the school's athletics teams, and they were guaranteed a spotlight no matter how poor or mediocre they were. Our school had one of the best music programs in the state, and some of the best musicians, but you would never know it. Our Academic Decathlon team also went pretty far in the competitions, but you would never know it. If the point of the assembly was to rally school spirit, they ignored some of things our school should've been most proud of. Hence, the rallies were irritating.
