its something that shapes the way we do things. if we perceive something as shit we tend to want to stay away from it. heres a prime example, after the clone wars came out every one and there mom was saying it was crap because of that i decided not to watch it. then yesterday while being very board i decided well if its as bad as everyone says it is ill get a good laugh out of it. wrong it was a good movie it lacked depth yes and the art style left something to be desired but overall good, good fight scenes and well thats it bet they were really cool. and its not just that it works the other way to based on a recommendation of my bro i played the first level of mass effect and all i can say is that my time would have been better spent eating bucket of cow manure. so can you think of any time when perception has shaped the way you thought of things.
PS. if you haven't seen clone wars based on bad reviews GO WATCH IT.

Pst being devoid of punctuation aside, I don't think a thread all about crapping all over Star Wars Episode 2 makes good Escapist conversation.

It's not about "crapping all over Star Wars Episode 2," it's about being influenced by other people into doing or not doing stuff.
I'm with you on the punctuation.

Mine was smoking.

My "friends" in middle school told me that smoking was "cool"-I told them no, then they said I wasn't "cool," and me not liking being "not cool" gave it a try. It was shit.

Never done it since, seriously; but that severe lapse of judgment has stayed with me since then.

Sure it does!

Oh! Conversation! I thought you said Flame War.

Anyhow, perceptions are funny things, which I parodied in my Morrowind review. Then I got flamed for giving it a poor review, which is so sickly sweet with the sugar of irony that I'm now a diabetic.
