I dunno really. I mean if it was PERFECT it would need to be updated and changed and rearranged so I don't bore of it. I mean it feels like you were god when you beat it the first time, then you gotta do that all over. So maybe a shooter, but not a mindless "Kill da bad guys" kinda thing... I got it

You are the leader of some far off remote outpost, and you are charged with a base and the soldiers under you. It would be like a first person RTS. Now hang on. You'd oversee base construction and fortification, and you'd give orders to men through a comm system not a map. Meaning you may need to build more receivers for far off exploration, but you risk something happing and communication getting cut off. I dunno something like that I'd like
Pure genius. Why didn't the game developers hire you yet for the creative process????

A third person shooter/action MMORPG, somehow incorporated to function like an MMO would, that being different classes, races, factions, dungeons, professions, gear etc but also with strong TPS elements similar to that of Lost Planet, with heavy emphasis on killing giant bastards, but also made in such a way that it requires team play to succeed. I wouldn't want just guns too, I'd want all kinds of other weapons like swords and whatnot, but with classes that cater to a specific weapon type, with lots of character and weapon customisation. It'd have to be set in a huge open interactive world with quests that function similar to Guild Wars 2, and environments that vary drastically from one another, like huge arctic areas to barren desert areas. I'd also like the pretty graphics and physics from Mafia 2, so you get all those badass effects.

That's the general idea, but it'll never happen and it'll have to be innovative in different ways also to keep me interested, ways that I don't wanna think of because it's not my fucking job.

umm...was that sarcasm? Do they already have a game like that? If so I'd totally buy it!
and I think the kicker would be that since it's a first person game, you could take to battle too to support your troops. Now you'd probably take a flunky with a huge radio or communication system on his back to still relay orders, but if he dies or it gets broken your at a serious disadvantage. Plus since you are out in the field you don't have tactical screens or Intel you'd have at HQ. So another choice arises, do you lead when you send everything you got into battle? Always hang back with some guys to protect the base? Only head out when you need a spec ops mission (like a sniper team or demo team to take out a hostile encampment)

I don't know. A 3d version of imperialism, an obscure rts on windows 98 that was so great

What other game let you play as a Napoleonic super power that steal other countries ressources, manage your industry and transportation, build up an army and kick france's ass.

I have the bloody game on my computer, and it's the bestest thing ever.

Oooooooh man, get ready for a novel answer.

Literally:

I'd want a sandbox game, cityscape, changing environment. We're talking weather, main characters, new buildings being made, very realistic.

You can drop into existence anything you wish. You want a car, but you're on a high rooftop? Not a problem, bam, instant Camaro.

And tweaks, as for the laws of physics. Zero gravity, for example.

You can simply do anything, with a reacting environment.

Also, you can walk through EVERY DOOR. Ugh, pet peve, seeing a door you can't go through in a video game.

I know I know, there are games LIKE this, but I want one even better than THAT ^^^^^^^^^^. I want something truly unlimited in potential. Life without boundaries, captured in the essence of a video game.

Again, I know I know, all in good time. Technology is advancing every day, it's only a matter of time until a game like this one can be created. But the question was asked, so I gave an honest answer!

Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale is the perfect game for me.

Unfortunately, it hasn't come out in America yet, though.

For me it would be a Starcraft II dating game.

Why? Because I'm a girl. I love Jim Raynor like a husband, and two, I love dating games for girls.

It would be about a new female member of Raynor's resistance. A ghost probably. But, anyway, you have a chance to fall for ether Matt Horner, Tycus Findly, or Jim Raynor. It will be Rated M for language and themes ;3

A Call of Cthulhu DCotE style horror (as opposed to F.E.A.R. style horror) FPSRPG that sort of combined Fallout 3, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and BioShock all together, that was about 500 hours to do everything.

hehe, thanks dude!

I guess one more idea I have. So are you going to build a huge fortress, towering with walls and armed with enough guns to laugh off any army? Would this require a lot of space to be cut down and make it prone to artillery attacks? Do you build a lot of weak outposts and hide them deep within the terrain? Or do you never tie yourself to one spot and move (maybe even make a moving command center) to keep your enemy guess? What of supplies? Would you risk an air ship bring it to you and have it spotted? What if the surrounding area can't hold? do you spread out to find more or abandon your fortress?

Like...and this is were the programmers will have to shine... you have a plenty of options on your plate, none of them wrong. I mean even if you shot your own man after he failed in the line of duty. Maybe your soldiers will grow to fear you, but fight harder not to get killed by you. Heh. Now I should figure out what a suitable foe should be. Aliens? Outlaws? Both?

This is a pretty easy question for me to answer.

Arcanum. On the Source engine. Rebalanced. Darker and grittier, so that race/gender choice made more of an overt impact on the game.

Give me that and I will die happy.

A great, gleaming, industrious city, somewhere between New York City and The City from Mirror's Edge, and four times as big.
The people are few - but they are very good people. The people who matter. The people responsible for the creation of this great city and who are therefore the city personified. The protagonists from Atlas Shrugged, basically.
Your primary goal is to explore this city and meet these people. You are given one item: the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device.

pretty much just Fallout 3 but like x100,000,000. I mean like huge and forever expanding without a level cap and always adding new enemies for the challenge and the story never ends. Oh and co-op so I can roam the wasteland with a friend.
EDIT: Just thought of some new stuff. Also drive-able vehicles and more customization. And more choices that have huge effects over the game.
This was actually just about the first thing that came to mind, but I like my idea very much. HMMM. Do I really only get to choose one?

[Edit]: Actually, you know what? I'd like to build on your idea a bit, Benmonkey7.
So: Rework the Fallout 3 engine. Regarding New Vegas, it sucks to get a sequel to a game you loved only to find that they didn't rewire, rework or overhaul the engine that made it a problem in the first place. I want smoother, up-to-date graphics - I'm looking at the Modern Warfare 2 graphics engine as a starting point - and spend enough time working with it to remove significant glitches and bugs. I know that in a game this size this will take a couple years at least. I'm okay with that. And for gods' sake, fix those spelling errors.
Now that that's done, I want a better moral choice system. I don't want to have to choose between pre-war pricks and murderous ghouls for the sake of finishing a quest. Give me more than five options, please, and make the consequences of my actions visible and far-reaching, noticeable to more people than one overly-awesome radio host. For instance: I killed that tree-man in Oasis, and his seeds (euuugh) won't spread any more. I doomed the wasteland to another generation of barren-ness, and screwed over any landscaping companies stupid enough to start up in D.C. Can I at least get a "Where are they now" sort of thing like I did at the end of Fallout 2? And there are more than twenty different kinds of gun in existence, yeah? make that evident, please.
...Anyway. I'm going to take a break now.

A game where all you do is explore. No story, no other human characters, just you, wilderness, and whatever happens to be on the island. Plenty of hidden collectibles that give rewards for finding them, like giving you tools so you can reach more places on the island. That would be awesome. No feelings of being rushed, just pure, blissful exploration.
Something like this. Though, I'd have it set so that you were a party member on the Lewis and Clark Expedition.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2. Yes very old school. But WORTH IT. Mindless 2 hours of gameplay and for some reason I can keep playing it days on end.

Something like Shadow of the Colossus, but replacing 'colossi' with 'cryptic monuments and ancient puzzles', like a cross between SoTC and a point-and-click adventure game, with an overarching plot about the ruins.
