[Something to discuss]
Okay, I enjoy a game, personally, when they give you all available weapons/perks/ability off the bat, BUT any variation of said weapons/perks/ability would have to be earned. (I'm just going to name it "Wap": for short). I really enjoy it when said weapon to do fire dmg instead of normal dmg you would have to earn it through some achievement or skill progression progression, etc, etc. What I do not like is when the player is given a fraction of the total weapons and would have to earn the new ones through level progression. I abhor the idea of both level and achievement progression to unlock the new weapons.
The reason I dislike the notion of level progression for new weapons is that more than half of the weapons I would unlock I did not like. Not because they did poor dps but that said weapons would not fit my play style. When all weapons are given at one time you can get a familiarity on what type of play style you want to do. It just seems like a serious time sink to unlock Waps that you do not want to use or ever will use. Let me, as the player, decide off the bat on how I want to play the game NOW instead of later.
