Perks to your job

So we all most of us have jobs, and we all get sweet sweet money for doing these jobs. My question to you dear escapees is, what is one of the perks, or benefits to your job? This doesn't technically mean dental or medical, or anything, just a bonus thing to what you're doing that you like.

what are my benefits you may ask. I'm working with my friends, and they have these durian (nasty, nasty fruit) candies (it's a resturaunt, and they have these up at the counter instead of mints) that I've been slowly hiding in my house for my family to be tricked into eating. I already got my sister, and she didn't tell anyone so the game has just begun. But really it's mostly that I'm working with my friends, the nasty candy is more of a bonus to a bonus.

I get a 20% discount on alcohol and I'm encouraged to drink at work. That's right, my job helps keep me inebriated.

That sounds like a sweet deal. Are you a columnist? Something else in the game? Please do share. I'd love to hear.

OT: I have no job. When I did, the biggest perk was getting to know people.

All-you-can-eat bacon!

For that reason alone, I love my job... most of the time (which means some of the time, which means kind of, sort of, not really.)

For my summer internship, I'm going to China.
I suppose that the perk is that I get to go on a 3 month trip around Asia, and that it will increase my chances of getting a job with a top tier company later on.

Eh, I got a free duffel-bag once.

Score?

No real perks to my employment. It's rather thankless for the most part.

I'm awesomely unemployed, so the perks are that I can do whatever I want.

The downsides are of course no income, but I had a well paying job last year that I'm still living well off of.

Oh, I wish that were true. I really, really wish that were true.

I'm unemployed and a student. So I guess the only perk for me is that I get a lot of free time when I don't have lectures. Otherwise, not many perks. Although it does mean I'm part of the NUS, so I get a student discount on some things and also am allowed to do university society activities (just been made Treasurer of Film-Making Society! Woo!).

Enlighten me, I wish to have your job.[hr]

Lifeguarding = Get a tan, see half naked chicks, nothing to intense.

Web Developing = Work from home a lot, get to be creative and I enjoy coding things.

When I used to work in an electronics store, my job consisted of standing around doing nothing most of the time. Therefore, I was able to watch anything I wanted on Satellite and even got given money to go buy any blu-ray I wanted to put on some tv. Standing around an watching tv while getting paid is always a plus. Good stuff.

I also, once, was given the task of cleaning out a back room. This back room had tons of old cables and electronics. My instructions were "Throw out what we don't need, take what you want". Pretty sweet.

Back when I worked in a catering service I can eat all I want for free. Sometimes I also get to keep whole pies for myself.

The main perk of where I work is how laid back the bosses are. As long as shit gets done they don't mind how much you talk, use your phone, trawl youtube looking for videos. We're even allowed to plug an i-pod into the radio so we don't have to listen to the drivel on Radio 1 or 2. Of course, that's just in our area, people are so touchy when it comes to radios in other departments.

I'm pretty sure we're the only warehouse in the country that plays old Nightwish at high volume haha.

I'm a delivery driver, working commission. Even when I'm out and getting paid, I'm doing very little, and when I'm not working, it's a small restaurant, so we have the most immature working conditions there is. Sometimes it's a blessing, sometimes it's a curse, but on more than one occasion someone's looked up porn on their iPhone to win an argument, or looked up the Spider-man story where he tells about a time he almost got molested.

I can no longer recall what the sun looks like. I cannot be bothered to cook for myself after spending hours cooking for others. I get to deal with all the complaints after a waiter has messed up an order. I have to justify the food orders to a manager obsessed with saving money.
Wait I think I misread the title
