So, I'm just about finished with the FES version of Persona 3, and I must say that it was a very enjoyable experience. Now, I wasn't sure if I was going to continue into the extra content of P3:FES (The Answer epilogue chapter), since P3 is a very long game on its own, but I find that I've grown rather attatched to these characters over the summer I spent playing this game, and I'm actually tempted to give The Answer a whirl. I'd like to turn to my fellow Escapists and hear what your thoughts are on The Answer, and whether or not it's worth playing through for a fan of P3's story. I have heard that it is rather difficult compared to the main game (especially since I tend to play on lower difficulties by default).

I played through Persona 3: Fes this summer and loved it as well. I will admit I'm having a much more difficult time getting through the Answer. Not because of the difficulty mind you (I played through the journey on the highest difficulty and it's about the same) but rather because there's no social links. Most of it seems like a pretty heavy grind and I sort of burned myself out on that after going through the journey.

But as a fan I think it'll be worth the effort to actually play through it instead of youtubing the scenes. Just be prepared for a bit of a grind.

I suggest , you let it settle for about half a year . Then come back and do the answer .

The answer is harder . The difficulty is automatically set to hard , so if after your "journey" you played on normal and had a hard time , this will grind your balls into the ground .

Social links are also abscent . No more bonuses for your demons , gotta work for you levels .

More grind . There is no shool to go to , thus it's all tower climbing . Every section will required a bit to a lot of grind , you are expected to do it . And if you are to succeed , you have no choice .

It should take about 20-30 hours to complete , it's a nice addition to the game , it's basically an epilogue , if you aren't too tucked out from the journey and you don't mond what i said above , go for it .

Don't do it. Ever. Just search up a plot summary and be done with it.
Stupid addition, shit tons of grind, removal of a massive amount of fun gameplay elements, characters get dumb (particularly Yukari and Mitsuru) and playing as Aigis just feels really not very personal.

Jack here. Think of The Answer as an EX Dungeon for Persona 3. Well, not like Tartarus' basement, but still. It's alot of the dungeon crawl with a bit of plot and characters coming apart at the seams. With the main character dead and them trapped inside the dormatory, there's only so much they can stand.

It's worth getting into.

If your up for a challenge then yeah I'd say go for it,the final boss is really cool. But nothings stopping you from watching the cutscenes on youtube which is the less frustrating option.

Indeed.

1. Finish Persona 3
2. Take a few minutes to collect yourself.
3. Read up on the plot summary of the Answer (or watch a YT video)
4. Buy Persona 4
5. Be blown away by an even better game.
