I think it comes down to the fact that it's been so long since the last mainline game that people are just glad they have a new Persona game, along with everything that follows it.Yoshi178 said:

These games are not rehashed, they have a ton of extra content. It's not really like with dlc where you get an extra self contained thing. There's vast system wide additions that matter throughout the playthrough. In a game like Persona adding a new main party member to the game shifts the dynamic and makes everything need to be adapted around it and that's just a small fraction of the new elements. It's basically it's own distinct experience, much more distinct than oh...I dunno....one Mario game to the next?Yoshi178 said:

The game was actually a ps3 game ported to ps4 so I doubt they can do too much more to make it look better. Though the game is mainly really really stylistic so it doesn't even need high power graphics. I expect mainly lower loading times and maybe better backgrounds or something.CaitSeith said:
Persona isn't really a series about the graphics to begin with, which is funny cause p5 looks amazing, but games like p4 didn't look nearly as good as other games that came out in 2008 yet it was way better in most aspects than the competition.
Persona 5 went style over substance, and the trailer already show they are going full steam on that aspect. The original game already had a couple of oddities (like people materializing from thin air when entering a new location) that are result of working around the lack of processing power. And it seems they are adding flashier sequences that most likely would suffer of slow framerate in PS3.Dreiko said:

Me, personally, this is nothing new for Atlus. Once a Persona game is made, expect a bunch of spin-offs on Playstation (twice on the 360) or on a portable Nintendo console.

Basically:
*The new semester being added between January and April will be bigger than the extra semester in Golden and will allow more player freedom
*There will be a new assist feature that will show what other players have done on particular days and allow the player to instantly warp to these places if desired
*Experience gain has been adjusted to be faster
*On top of Kasumi (new party member) and Maruki (school counsellor) there will be more confidants added
*Kasumi's addition to the story will not dramatically alter it, but will instead give new perspectives and flavour to the current cast and events
*There will be around 20 new music tracks
*Owners of the original game with save data will receive bonuses, however, you will not be able to transfer saves

I wonder how the save file thingy is gonna work for those with ps3 saves. Ah well.
