My second(the previous teacher retired at the end of my first year) teacher for French was an asshole, he loved giving random tests, yelled at everybody for making mistakes(in French) and French was the only class for which at the end of the year I averaged a 0.4 out of 10(compared to the next-lowest who had a 4/10). It's funny though, I haven't seen him in seven years but I still hate the French language because of him. We learned nothing important, well, nothing I can remember. Not that it mattered, I found out the books we used were almost ten years old.(right now they'd be almost 20 years old)
My German teachers weren't too bad, and while I hated learning from outdated books(again, 10 years old in 2000), I loved to learn the language. Not much to say about these teachers(had three, one retired, numbers two and three were because I switched schools) except for the last one who spent days reading a newspaper because someone offended him(not me) and while I was kicked out of the class for my final year(managed to piss off the teacher) I had no problems with the final exams.
English.. It's funny how the most relaxed and competent teachers were all teaching English. While I still had six English teachers in four years(two teachers alternating classes in my second year first teacher in my first year got pregnant, replacement teacher left at the end of the year) that really didn't matter because I basically grew up on English games and cartoons. the English we got taught was 'formal' though. Again, a bit outdated but the teachers actually tried to correct the books whenever possible.
I do hope any of this makes sense, I'm not going to clean this up since I've already spent enough time adding/removing things.
