Anyone who has participated much on forums has made a few embarrassing mistakes, I figured it would be fun to share some of our worst.
For me the most memorable blooper occurred quite some time ago and involved TES II: Daggerfall. When Daggerfall was released there was a bug that prevented you from becoming a werewolf, both werewolves and wereboars would turn you in to a wereboar. There was a rumor at the time that there was one dungeon in the whole of Daggerfall that you could become a werewolf in, but as that sounded silly I didn?t give it any credence.
And then my character turned in to a werewolf.
I knew where I had been infected so I quickly registered on five or six large Elder Scrolls forums to explain what had happened to me and what dungeon I?d been in when I was infected. This was so awesome, I was the one who?d found out how to become a werewolf!
And then on every single one of those forums someone explained to me that the patch that had been released a few days before fixed the bug. Do'h!
