Eh, I've never been particularly good at these things, as much as I want to, I fear I don't have the self-awareness required to give a fair assessment.

Ironically, the above thought clued me in to a possible answer. I covet that kind of awareness, and more than that, I'm the kind of guy who tries to look at things from multiple angles, to try to understand where people with opposing arguments are coming from and to alleviate misunderstandings originating both with myself and with others. With that in mind, the natural evolution of such a perspective seems to me to be mind linking. I don't mean anything as refined as telepathy, I'm talking a free exchange of information, emotions and perceptions between two [or more] people. No conscious control over what is exchanged, just pure expression without even the capacity to deceive.

...Dear god, I feel like Charles Zi Brittania after saying that.

Now, on the one hand, there is a certain degree of appeal to such an ability. After all, it offers the potential for a true understanding between people. On the flip side, it's also very worrisome. Paradoxically, I feel that we really aren't really meant to have such an intimate understanding of others. In fact, I'd imagine the experience might actually be nightmarish for both parties, especially if they realize what's happening and that their every experience, their every prejudice, every fear, every kink is being laid bare for the other person to examine, to criticize, to reject.

This hits an added level of nightmare for me in the event I lose control, as a) I doubt I'd be immune to it and b) I like playing things very close to the vest, so I'm well familiar with the idea of keeping my own counsel and the desire to keep it that way, and frankly the idea of a rejection that intimate[footnote]I can't think of a better way to describe it. The recipient knows everything about you. Being turned away after that is the purest form of rejection I can imagine[/footnote] seems absolutely terrifying. You know that feeling of dread when you reveal a secret about yourself? Imagine that...now imagine having someone else reveal all your secrets - big and small - at once. It's not a power I think I'd often use once I got a handle on it.

I'm one to hold a grudge and I like to torcher the people mentally who have wronged me. It's to hard to hurt some phisicly and get away with it. I'm also a little too satistic to leave it at just that so I crush thier souls instead.
(I only do this to people who have truly done something I find to be wrong. Eg, a short friend of mine was bullied by a huge guy a few years older than us so I used the people around him he called friends, slowly making them lose respect for him over a matter of weeks by getting them to consantly chalanging his domanance. In the end they had no respect for him and he was a complete loner.)

So unnoticible, Precise and causes great amounts of pain.
The power to cut people with my mind.
This can only be posible if I hate them and the more I hate them the harder it is to control.
If I hate the subject too much but just want to warn them I may lop of an arm.

I can go really really quickly, but only if a deadline is close.
If there is no deadline, I am practically glacial.

The power of illusion and shapeshifting.

I don't have much of a personality of my own, having been friendless for so long, so I ussually just try and copy other people's.

Body-swapping, because I don't have much of an identity and I have an inferiority complex around most people I'm with, to the point that I often find myself wishing that I was literally them.

However, I'd still retain my mind and general personality in the other person's body, and vice versa, which would make things both beneficial for me and awkward for both of us.

As a personality based power... It would have to be the ability to punch anyone in the head at any distance, at will.

I'm just plain nasty to most people around me, and if you could find one (they are terribly rare indeed) you could ask them, but chances are, they've already been punched in the head.

Also, the ability to strangle people via the internet would be helpful in some cases (this is not one of those cases, so you all may relax) =)

Well, being smoking hot, I probably couldn't enter a building without the alarms going off.

OH yeah. MHM.

I'm very funny and charismatic, but privately I'm filled with self loathing and apathy.

So my power would be to make people immediately like me, but over time they'd come do dislike me.

Wait, that's real life...

If you were to walk up to me you would realize that I'm a rather cold and inhospitable person, sort of like the surface of Mars. That is if I have never met you, for if I do know you, I might warm up to you just a bit. But that is beside the point.

So by this logic, I would be able to cool things down close in or at a distance to about 0.5 or 1 Kelvin.

I tend to have an intense hatred for most of humanity, stupid people in particular, Even more specifically, I almost see red and start slaughtering people left and right indiscriminately when confronted with people who are completely ignorant of all historical events that happened more than 40 years ago that cite the phrase "They're all dead so why does it matter anyway?"... So judging by my intensely hateful personality that caters more towards the stupid... My power would probably be to make people hit themselves over the head with a massive history textbook until the end of their life.

Cloning. I've stated this before in my failure of a thread on Symbiotes. My worst side, in all honesty, is that I can be a deadpan, or wisecracking annoyance to anyone I meet. Some people find it funny, others not so much. I would say cloning would be my case because I do seem to have multiple personalities, but as said they're personalities, not people. So me in a different light.

I'm reserved and quiet so my ability would be to go undetected by people's senses. My drawback would be having difficulty switching my ability off when I actually need people to pay attention to me.

I think your power would be to slowly drain away bright colors around you wherever you walk.

My power would probably be to turn my body to some kind of extremely durable material like metal or diamond.

I'm a very persevering, often stubborn individual you see, and would headbutt through brick walls to accomplish my goals.

DRAWBACK: It would occur without my consent whenever I get indignant, probably resulting in me humorously breaking through the floor.

I have the ability to control when I feel emotions, so I guess manipulation of reality, like bending in Avatar. Or my apparent apathy, which would grant me the ability to go ethereal.

I am usually very calm and calculating, often good at faking just how smart I am. Mental based powers seem appropriate. A possible drawback being that I cause hallucinations for myself and those around me.

I would have the ability to be unaffected by the people around me in any way shape or form. I am not the most social of people, but not because I am shy just because I don't care.

Since people I know consider me quite witty(that feels braggy, who cares?), I will have the power of parody, the ability to make people consider someone or something utterly ridiculous.
There are plenty of other little traits I have, but I hadn't seen anyone use this yet.

Super fast reflexes, like spider sense.

Spend most of the week trying to avoid being punched (In a controlled environment) and you'll probably get that power.

That or speed, endurance, enhanced acrobatic/gymnastic abilities, slow the passage of time, foresight, etc

If it were a matter of preference, then foresight for definite, however, in terms of the Misfits universe, it'd be reflexes :/

Edit: Thats not personality, just realised.

Well I'm always thinking ahead, talking about the future, be it about bills, my work, my life, my plans. So yeah, foresight.

See? I got it in there :)
