You have any idea how many rats I killed in Bully back in the day? Not only that, I threw their corpses at people, and into any body of water I could find. And I'm still sane (I promise).

You actually stab a rat with a combat knife in the back and then lift it by the tail, then cast it's dead body aside like trash?!

I'm outraged! I will never give EA my money again! Who do they think they are, acting like Gods handing out judgement on natures love rodent?! I'm appalled this hasn't been brought up sooner, I know many people who never would have bought the game if they knew such outright evil was inside this game! I'm writing to EA after I'm done here, and he will know the power of my anger! The consequences will never be the same!

VIVA LA RATA! VIVA LA RATA!!

This is a call to arms for our poor defenseless critter brothers! They CANNOT get away with this! I won't let them! WE WON'T LET THEM!!

*Runs out of the room screaming

EDIT: It's much more fun to just 'go with it' sometimes ; )

Pfffft! HAHAHAHAHAHA! This made my day! Thank you!

PeTA's view of the game:

Murdering hundreds of thousands of humanoid characters in what is sometime the most brutal ways imaginable: OK
Stabing a rat that nipped at you while you're fleeing for your life: Grounds for a boycott

Oh god, fuck PETA, no one gives a rat shit what those whining idiots think anyways. Even though the rat stabbing was stupid, c'mon, this is a friggin video game you uptight shitknockers.

"PETA is officially unhappy with Battlefield 3 because of a callous, brutal and utterly inhumane sequence of rat-stabbing."

And they didn't notice this happening in Obilivion because? Oh but thats not the point! The point is PETA just loves those filthy disgusting rats. The only rat I've ever liked was a smart ass Transformer.

Let me go stab a few more rats. While I am it, let me slay a dragon in Dark Souls. Take that PETA!
Now THERE'S one for the Onion:
PETA protests D&D for cruelty to Dragons, Unicorns, and Umber Hulks.

Oh, wow. I'm just glad the never heard of MGS3: Snake Eater. Or...Cabela? Sheesh..

PETA is more of a joke now. Hey, I'm all up for defending animal rights and being nice to them and all. I love animals as much as the next guy. But PETA is now just looking for an excuse to be popular. It's like that little fat kid who goes around trolling people and sometimes tries to hang out with the popular kids without them realizing it. They know the kid is good, but man, is he annoying!

In defense of the game, the game talks about survival. So in that case, PETA, what would you prefer: men being gunned down or a rabbit being killed?

Wait. No, don't answer that one... :l

No idea if this has been said, since there's no way I'm sifting through those eight pages. (< Is a lazy ass)

PeTA is making themselves look like incompetent idiots. There are more serious animal issues than a freaking VIRTUAL RAT. If what's been said really is true though, at least we can be thankful that they're wasting time that would've otherwise been used to kill animals :/

PETA, do you have any idea how many rats I've killed in Obvlivion this past week? Do you?!

Yeah, I can't take this seriously and I doubt anyone else can. Ridiculous, I say!

You know, I'm not even surprised that PETA's only just decided rat-killing in video games is a bad thing. Typical of such an organization to ignore games until a highly-publicized one does something they don't like. What blows my mind is that they're actually concerned with the virtual killing of a creature whose species numbers in the billions and are responsible for destroying property and spreading disease the world over.

What next? "Save the mosquitoes"?

PETA. >.> You still exist? I forgot you existed til now. -_-

Even thouhg I killed lots of rats in Oblivion, that pales in comparision to Dark souls. Almost every sewer that was in the game had rats and yet I hear no protest about it. Hypocrits.

Sometimes I think PETA has become a parody of itself. Rats are vermin, one of the big things we had to do in order to build society was to find ways to kill them to prevent them from getting into our food supplies and such, not to mention their spread of disease. I believe it was rats that were responsible for the Black Death that wiped out roughly 1/3rd of the European population.

Every once in a while PETA might raise a good point, but it's rapidly eclipsed by the pile of garbage like this they spew out in the meantime.

Meh, not only did my Nameless One murder cranium rats in substantial numbers, he was also awarded a special tattoo for devouring them! ... in a little game called "Planescape: Torment".

Perhaps PETA will choose to enter retroactive complaints for you know... not only killing rats but also having character who is rewarded for not keeping to a strictly vegan diet.

Really...rats? Huh...well, that...just...why? Why do they care about virtual rats? I guess I could never get it unless I was actually part of the group.

Also, I find it kind of odd that they take a game about war and nuclear genocide and only comment on the rat that was stabbed?

Um i suppose they never bothered to notice it was self defence? I thought everyone agreed that Human life > Animal life... Right? It did attack you first and it was probably rabid but no should have just let it kill you

It is hilarious after all, and oh my, i am insulted that nobody's posted the actual video yet...

I suppose they'll be complaining that you flip The Rat off when it kills you next...
don't know which is funnier the video or the new's story
