This thread morphed into that eerie string of voice mail messages Jon Favreau left the chick he met in the bar the night before in Swingers.

Ok seriously how did this go from "Lets talk about PETA" to "Everyone loves Shivari, but what gender is Shivari?"

Shivari's cool and all that, but enough is enough.

Just message him/her.
Good point. How did that happen?
I say oatmeal. Oatmeal instead of brains. It's the source of everyone's problems.

They lost all credibility with me when they lied about Iron Chef. They claimed that the Chef in the episode beat a live squid to death with a radish.

Upon looking at a fansite which detailed the food preperation, I found out it was a lie because if you physically pound a squid it would shoot bad tasting ink everywhere.

F U PETA
No, but I did see an episode where they pulled out a Lobster's heart, and it was still beating.

The commentary was: "Well, at least we know it's still fresh!"

I disagree with PETA, but when I heard that Greenpeace had rammed a ship into a Japanese whaling ship, I shed a tear of joy.

EDIT: What gender IS Shivari?

Well after reading those last two links about those ass clowns in the U.K. PETA or any other "legal" group is never getting a cent of my money, it's going to pounds and such places that are run by good and caring people, not by terrorist's cause that's what they are who will bully, harm people, destroy properity and even kill people just so they can get their point across.

I just think it's crazy how against scientists and the use of animals for research and yet at the same time they benefit from medicine that has come from those studies. Now if they gave up any and all doctor aid and lived only off of "nature" cures then I would think they had a cause and not just a bunch of hypocrites in a clique.

P.S Also PETA fan's scare me more then any gang member could. I mean putting bombs in a scientists house attempting to kill her and her family just because of working with test animals that takes a very demented kind of mind.

As I said earlier in the thread: my mom did clinical research for a company that tested on animals. They threatened us. I was so fucking angry. I very much hate them. I still hate them. They should not exist. Seriously.

THAT IS NOT OKAY.

On the one hand, I don't support animal cruelty.

On the other hand, PETA is a bunch of psychos that needs to be burnt at the stake.

Ya it's insane how fanatical they are and at the same time protected by so many laws. I mean could you imagine any other group being able to do even a little of what PETA members do.I mean the types of crimes they do as a group is greater then any other hate group we have today.

PETA euthanize almost two-thirds of the animals they liberate.
Likely because they're either too far gone to save, or they simply cannot find homes for them.

It is my firm conviction that animals hold rights, perhaps dissimilar to those of humans, but in particular that they be free from needless harm.
They do have rights.

The SPCA organizations in Canada and the USA try their best to keep animals out of the hands of people who would hurt them.

Sometimes, there isn't a home for those animals, and there's very little hope for them to lead normal lives, so they're euthanised. I understand that.

BUT THEN

PETA people come along, and say "You can't hold those animals in cages! You can't kill them!" They then proceed to terrorize and attack good honest people who love animals and want to give them the best home possible. They take animals, saving them from the SPCA's needle.

Then the have a problem. Do they let the animal free into the streets? It'd surely die, or end up right back in the evil SPCA's hands. Do they take it out to the forest? It'll most likely die there too. Do we keep it as a pet? NEVER! PETA thinks the ownership of a pet is abhorrent to the rights of the animal.

So they put them in a pen, until they run out of options for them.

Then they euthanize them.

Hypocrites. Let the SPCA do their work for the good of the animals you claim to love so dearly.
Then you and I have no quarrel friend.

The nature managed it's way for who knows how many years... so keeping species in balance and just looking what's gonna happen next is the best idea. Cause, if you destroy one specie, effect might not be that devastating... but if you destroy a few, you can completely fuck up enviroments and sooner or later fuck up yourself. You know, similarly to what happened when europeans brought animals to australia and such, but worse.

Certain species would no longer be controlled by predators, and it would cause overpopulation, and then diseases and massive damage to plants if it's herbivores.

Or if you kill them instead, predators would have less stuff to eat so they are likely to become agressive and die out, possibly spreading diseases as well. And then it keeps going like a house on fire. Of course, it's probably a lot more complex than that, i m no PHD in biology and enviromental sciences. If such exist.
Well it's not like we haven't done so in the past. How many species of bird, mammal and fish have we made extinct as a result of hunting so far?

Just count.
I find it funny people call all this stuff unnatural. Listen, if we are able to do it, it's natural. So shut the fuck up. We are just as much a part of nature as any animal. Are we not animals ourselves? Only intelligent enough to realize it? Are we really not that far from sentient A.I's? Starting to question our existence, and purpose?

Did I just unknowingly discover a conspiracy?

Yes, and it is ultimately to our detriment.

Do not use the argument that because it's happened before, it should happen again.

I agree with some of their principles. Animal hunting is abhorent and fur is a pointless blood trade. I think more funding should go into finding alternatives to animal testing (tissue cloning would be good) and I do believe that things like veal and fois whatever (the one where they force feed the ducks) is horendous. Oh and I'm very much against the seal culls as well (not the need for a cull, that's fine, but the methodoligy is vile)

BUUUUUT anyone who puts an animal's life before a human's is a fucking psychopath.

That's what I've been saying, just not in here. Humans are just doing what humans do by nature: kill things and eat them. That's just what we do. For someone to say that by doing this we are going against nature is just absurd.

I saw your avatar and instantly knew you had good taste in music. I saw Paramore in concert with my girlfriend a few months ago. They can rock pretty hard.

I hear that Camel milk has twice the nutrence with half the fat of cow milk. so why not domesticate them?? and they don't produce nearly as much methane.
