Before the elites scream at me that this has been done before, I did my search. I didn't find a topic quite like this (then again I only went up to page 3, and that's good enough for me :p)

So, after reading the Losing a Pet thread, I felt like we needed a little cheeper-upper topic for pets. So, post your pets pictures here. Any weird habbits they have. And if you have a special story about how you got them, share that too~

For me, I was walking home one day, being a little depressed over something. Then I heared something meow from the bushes. My current kitty was there. She was so tiny and sick looking. I never planned on keeping her, I just wanted to get her to the vet to fix her up, mainly her eye. She had a small wound on her stomach, and her skin felt like bubble paper somehow, like it had air under it. Even the vet couldn't tell what it was.
So after taking care of her for 2 weeks, she came out of her critical state. And now she's totally healthy(though she's still blind in one eye)....and fat. It was amazing for me to see how well she grew from being that dying little kitten to a healthy and grown up one.

So here she is, Luu when she was still a kitten, with my old cat

And a more current picture

So, share your stories?
Funny habbits?
Pictures?

Well Can't say that I've personally owned a Kitty, but my Ex did and they were awesome ^_^

I remember waking up every morning to two fat lumps of kitty wieghing down my legs so i couldnt move hehe ^^. We had a thick blanket on the bed so we could tease them with out feet beneath it, watching them chase the lumps we made with our toes across the bed. I also remember that they had a habit of jumping in my lap and steadying themselves with their claws :S

One of the best memories have to be when i was watching tv, my gf was asleep, her head on my stomach, kitty climbs up on my chest and falls asleep there too. Was so cute, till the film ended and i realised i had to pee with 2 dead to the world sleeping things on me. Crap =.=

My mom found my cat behind a dumpster at work one night. He's been with us 17 years now and is in great health. I also have a dog, but there's no interesting story behind her. We picked her up from an animal shelter.

Those pictures are just so cute :D. I don't have a cat myself (in fact, my family has always kept dogs, we've got a tiny Doberman puppy now called Olly, he's a bit excitable but such a lovely hound...), but I would love to get a cat someday. Can't at the moment because I'm living in University accomodation and the house I'm renting next year only allows things like hamsters, but after University I'll get a little kitten. Cats are just great pets, they're smart and cute and can definitely hold their own...

My darlin'.
She's an extremely intelligent dog. We can leave kibble out for her, unlike most dogs who would not stop eating 'till there's nothing left, and when she wants her moist food, she takes a piece of kibble from her bowl, stands right beside us, and crunches conspicuiously. I mean, she fiddles with it in her mouth 'til she can make the loudest crunch possible.
If you're being really slow, she just takes a piece of kibble, places it at your feet, then stares are you.

Aww, what a sweet heart! Both of them!

My cats, Boots and Cocoa I had since they were just a few weeks old. Boots was a gift for my mom on mothers day. He was Six weeks old. But instead of bonding to her, he ran straight over to me and huddled against my tummy. That night he got up, dropped off my bed, climbed into my sisters bed (we shared a room at the time) and got his sister from where she was sleeping with my sister. Next thing I knew, I heard two small "Thumps" and then scratches as the two kittens climbed up my bed to snuggle with me. (By the way, Boot's sister isn't Cocoa. Her name is Allie)

Cocoa was much like your kitten. Except my Ex found her, not me. I got a phone call at midnight, because he'd heard mewing from outside. When they found her, she was curled up on my Ex husbands brother's car engine trying to stay warm. Her paws were burned, and she was sick. I ended up bonding with her too, and she was my kitten only. No one else could come close to her.

I no longer have either cat. Cocoa was taken by my Ex, and Boots is at my moms. I miss them both...
(I wanted to avoid acting this way, but...)
Awww! They both sound so cute~
When my kitty was small she'd curl by the side of my head and sleep. It was so precious...too bad she's too fat to do that anymore now.;;
It's sad that you don't have either of them anymore though...why not get a new cat?

Edit: Aww jeez, they're all too cute. orz;

Actually, I used to have a dog too. A mixed terrier I think. I had to give him up when we moved back to Israel though.

Aw, that's not fair.

Oh oh, as my kitten furiously started meowing at me, I came up with another idea. Do your pets have any weird habbits?

As I already mentioned, my cat has a very weird habbit of always meowing rather loudly everytime I sneez. Most of the time she even does it in her sleep.;; I really don't get it.

Also, no matter whether she's pissed or asleep, if you put your nose to her lips, she'll start licking you.

Boots liked to fetch. I kid you not. I'd gotten mad, balled up a pair of snow gloves (the one size fits all) and hurled them acrossed the room. Next thing I know, here comes Boots, gloves in his mouth. He dropped the gloves at my feet and wouldn't budge till I threw the gloves again. We played that game for nearly an hour before he jumped into my lap and fell asleep.

Cocoa didn't really have any habits. But she was shy as all heck. If I was home, she'd curl up in my lap and wouldn't move. If company showed up, she'd freeze where she was unless someone approached me. Then she'd make a noise that was almost like she was crying, and bolt for the bedroom. I'd usually find her curled up mewing piteously for me under the blankets on my side of the bed.

Both cats, when I had them and after I had my son, took turns looking after my baby. If I had to go downstairs, one of them would usually stay with the baby (I'd leave him in his bouncer or in a rocker swing) and the other would follow me downstairs. (Usually it was Boots who stayed upstairs. He let Cocoa stay around me alot.) If I didn't have the baby Monitor on me, I knew when my son would start crying because Boots would come to the top stair and meow until he got my attention or until Cocoa would get it, and both cats would take me back to my son. It was so cute, I wish I'd have gotten it on Video.
Aww, that sounds so cool. It's interesting how pets react to babies that come into the family. But that is just seriously cute.

Also I totally forgot, but my cat likes playing fetch too. xD
It's crumpled up pieces of paper for her though. she goes crazy if she just hears the sound of paper being crumpled. She'd kick it around and eventually pick it up in her mouth, jump on the desk and drop it infront of me. Then wait there untill I throw it for her.

Awww. Is that the kitten or the older cat that does that?
Lol, the kitten. My older cat, Kino (the ginger one) didn't really have any special habbits. He knew how to open doors though.

Ah! Another person with a Pepsi dog. As mentioned in the aforementioned thread, she is no longer with us, sadly, but I miss her very much, and will post a picture of her. With my girlfriend.
Also, one of my girlfriend's cats, Jim.

So cute!

EDIT: This has to be the least evil 666th post ever, right?

So, I've got birds. For no good reason, other than that they're funny and that they sound pleasantly. My current ones are all home-raised and none of them bought. They're machines at other bird making.

They're very funny normally.

That is all.

My bulldog Bridget is one of those lovable idiot kind of dogs, haha... We took her to obedience class, but she just couldn't get anything after sit. So, to this day, she only knows three commands. She knows how to sit, she knows when I call her, and she knows when I tell her not to do something.

One time she got really sick and started dry heaving and just looked miserable, so we took her to the vet, and it turned out she had somehow swallowed an entire cob of corn (a small one mind you) and she had to get it surgically removed because her digestive tract was completely blocked.

She can't swim either. If you put her in the water, first her back end will sink, then just her head will be above the water, and finally her front end will sink and we have to save her, haha.

I also have a dog named Pepsi.

I don't have any pictures to share at the moment since my pets are currently at my parents' place and I live in a different province with no camera. I own a dog named Pepsi who is now almost 11 years old and an albino leopard gecko named Yoda, who is about 6 years old. I miss both of them quite a lot. I'll finally be able to bring Yoda up here to Montreal next year.

Actually I didn't name my dog. No offense to anyone, but I don't like naming my pets after soft drinks. >> My mom picked him up from the animal shelter, so he came with that name. He was a real special dog.

I have four cats and they are my babies. One, Pepi, I've had for 14, going on 15 years now. She is absolutely stunning.

We went to someone house with some friends to have a look at the litter of kittens. Half persian, half chinchilla, they were all beautiful. However, all of them got taken except one.

Who then decided to pull the ol' cute-eyes and make us 'aww' to death and take her home. She was a bloody handful. Running up curtains, playing in mud (..which was just confusing), playing with any source of water and pouncing on her brothers while they were in their toilet box.

Pepi was evil, still is a little. She steals buttered toast from my grandmother, as well as mashed potatoes.

But I adore her. ^^; She was my first pet, and I know I am going to be heartbroken when she does go.

We also have Lily, who lives in my Grandma's house (same block of land as us) with Pepi. She was a stray cat who we tamed. But she is scarily similar to an older cat we had who passed away.

She's a bit quirky. Doesn't meow, but she chirps. And when you scratch the back of her back, she'll just start licking the air.

Then we have Zelda (Mum regretted letting my sister and I name her). Her story is almost Disney-esque in its tragic-sappyness..

We found her on Christmas Eve. A young man from our neighbourhood brought her to us, in the rain, and then left. She was barely a handful of a kitten, incredibly dehydrated and incredibly filthy and wet. Also, bat ears.

However, she picked up and was a hyperactive little shit on Christmas day. XD We still have her. She's beautiful. She likes to headbutt everything.

Aaaaand then there's Claudia. She was given to us by a friend of the family who couldn't take care of her anymore due to allergies. She is the typical spoiled-rotten, snobby cat.

About.. I think two years ago now, she went missing for five days. My whole family was worried sick, then she turned up late at night, looking terrible and dragging her leg behind her.

One pet hospital trip and $1200 later, her dislocated leg (the vet said he had never seen one on a cat before) was fixed up, but the recovery took a while.

But she's gorgeous. Just a bit of a sook.

Sorry if I babbled a bit. But they have been such a huge part of my life. I love them. ^.^ And like talking about them, obviously.

Aw, don't be sorry. This is a place where we can all act like 70 year old grandmas(and grandpas?) and show pictures of our 'little snookems' without being judged(hopefully;;).

Anyway, they're all so adorable. That little picture of Zelda could have been made into a postcard if the quality was a little better. xD
And her last picture is beatiful. Her eyes look so shiny.
