My mom found my cat behind a dumpster at work one night. He's been with us 17 years now and is in great health. I also have a dog, but there's no interesting story behind her. We picked her up from an animal shelter.

You SERIOUSLY need to cut your dog's hair.
We get her groomed seasonally. That was at the beginning of spring, I believe, so she was due for a trim. She doesn't look as shaggy when she stands up.

Okay, so there's my avatar, he's called Hoomin.

I have a cat and a kitten. My first one our family got the summer before my senior year of high school. Our family cat, Patches, died and it took us months to get over it. We had one other cat and he was getting depressed over losing his best friend so we decided to get another cat. Since technically Patches was my sister's cat she got to choose. When we got to the pound I saw two black and white kittens, brothers, in the same cage. I thought they were so adorable, and I even got to play with them in a little room. One of them was very friendly and a sweetheart, and the other was shy and wouldn't come out from behind a desk. At first I was going to get the sweet one, but over all wanted the shy one. I named him Keitaro (Japanese name for 'blessed') and he's been my best friend ever since. Even five years later he still follows me around the house and sleeps with me at night.

My kitten though I got when he was two months old. My boyfriend called me one night while he was over his friend, Michael, house. Michael's girlfriend's cat just had four kittens, and one of them had yet to be adopted. I went over JUST to see them, and the first one I picked up I said "I like this one." April had pointed out that he was the only one who wasn't adopted, so I decided that I was going to take him home. The rest of the night he kept wanting my attention, and when I'd walk away from his play area he'd meow til I came back. He was so sweet! I took him home a week later and named him Thrall. He's our 'Little War chief' and I feel like I named him appropriately. He is always running around the house trying to play with anyone who will let him. He pounces on anything that moves or is not attached to the wall (Sometimes he does attack our vent though...) He's five months old now, and when I'm not home hangs out with his big brother Keitaro.

I have 2 cats. My now Ex picked them out as tiny little kittens from the same litter, fortunately i got to keep them when she left.
They are bengals and adorable. Eragon is the most outgoing, he will jump onto people and climb them like they are trees so he can perch on their shoulders and purr. Amiboshi is more calm, they are nearly identical looking other that Eragon is more orange and Amiboshi is more grey.
They both play fetch, Eragon starting it and Amiboshi learning. Eragon loves nerf darts, but only the black ones, to fetch and Amiboshi loves makeup sponges to play with. They both go for plactic springs (best cat toys ever!)
The only problem with their fetching is that they are still learning that they have to bring the toy ALL the way back. They drop it like 5 feet away half the time then meow incessently for it to be thrown. Although if im on the couch Eragon will jump onto it before dropping his dart.
