I've searched for this and I couldn't find anything else like it so if it has been posted before, sorry.

But anyway, I was wondering who here at the escapist has pets and just tell us anything about your pets that you can. I'll start with my wonderful little fluff ball.
I have a dog who is a maltese cross with a lhasa apso. Her name is Nellie, she is about 2 and a half years old, I don't think I've ever seen a dog smaller than her, she is all white with some bits of brown on her, she has very little bladder control and she is also not a bad cricket ball. When I first got her she almost died within a week and we still haven't found out what was wrong with her. I also bought her off my cousin since someone bought her for him as a gift without knowing that he is allergic to dogs. Well that's it for my dog so what about your pets.

I currently have 2 dogs that are half Labradors and half everything else (they're sisters, and they're 3 years old).

Oh, and I have a goldfish.

And, up until recently, I had 2 peacocks living in a special pen in my yard- one flew off and the other got murdered by an owl (and this was a fully-grown great horned owl- not one of those tiny little cave owls). The one that flew away is still alive and well, however.

Is that the dog who played Toto in Wizard of Oz, Ultrajoe?

If so, then I concur.

I have zebra finches. About 8 of them. Insane little bastards.

The story of their life:
1) Eat and Drink
2) Sleep
3) Reproduce
4) Repeat 1-4

Oddly enough, sources disagree... but in the original books many conclude Toto as a Cairn Terrier. And in the film, he was indeed a black Cairn Terrier.

Oddly enough, my furry little torpedo is almost pure blonde, not exactly common but when he's clean he looks fantastic... and when he's not he's a brownish red.

For those who value pedigree, his aunt played Toto in 'The Wizard of Oz' on ice. Yes, its not exactly star material but it's a damned good fact all the same.

So yes, Best dog ever and i will kill all who say otherwise.

Blonde and beautiful eh?
My dog, Hadley, is a Golden Retriever X Poodle, and extremely blonde, with the added bonus of being HUGE.

He likes to harrass people by playing with them.

I have a Rhodesian Ridgeback mixed with lots of other things, I call her a pure bred mutt

and 4 cats, and they get along very well surprisingly considering Rhodesian are a hunting breed.

I have four cats. A gray half Persian/half Chinchilla (Pepi), one skinny black cat (Zelda), one plush (see: fat) black/dark brown half Burman (Claudia) and one slightly schizo long-haired white cat named Lily, who also has beautiful eyes, one blue and one gold.

They're my babies. >.>

X Poodle eh?, sounds like a Supreme Robot Command Dog. Or something.
X as in cross. He's half GR, half Poodle.

He's got the Supreme, Command and Dog bit down, but we won't get the robotic implants till next month.

Just a a pet hamster. Shes pretty cool. She really enjoys climbing all over the cage bars like some sort of monkey.

Thank goodness she hasn't escaped too often. Last time she did she was behind the washing machine.

I have a cat, I think she might be a mixture of black and calico. She looks almost calico except where she should have white she has black instead. She never makes noise and is really mellow. She also likes for people to rub her stomach.

yes Toto was a carin, they come in 3 flavours, black (grandma had one), blonde (grandma had one) and brindle (we had 2 of these, it's a mix of black and blonde)

they are great dogs, we had one that would sit up on it's haunches like a gopher on the front lawn for hours, sadly we had to get rid of him because we moved to a place without a yard for him, our second one we had to put down because he started to bite and growl at us, we think the neighbours would kick and hit him if he ran away

we also had a west highland terrier, great dog cept a PAIN to keep clean, we had to put him down when he was 14, he was dying so it was more or less a mercy killing to stop him from being in so much pain

as of right now i have 2 turtles, a red eared slider called Kame and a southern painted turtle called Gamera

oh and three corys called haim, feldman and hart, they keep the tank clean

I had a dog for 18 years. Same dog. He was just a mutt, ugly as hell, dumb as hell, but I loved him all the same. I haven't been able to convince myself to get another dog since we had to have him put down last year.
