Here is my dog Barkley...he is a German Shepard/Newfoundland mix and a few other breeds probably...lol. He is 13 now. I've had him since he was a puppy, he was found in a garbage dumpster with all his brothers and sisters and would have been killed by the garbage truck if someone wouldn't have found him.

My other dog Crystal, she was rescued from an animal hoarders house where she was starved and neglected. She doesn't like anyone but my mom, step dad and I. I really don't know what breed she is...Golden Retriever/Greyhound...Golden Retriever/Collie maybe?

The cat we adopted from a friend recently ran away, so currently we don't have anything. I'd love to have a dog again at some point. Golden Retrievers are my favorite but I'll take a mutt and day.

I have a cat named Whiskey (yes, he's accually called that), 3 gerbil males called Gollum, Smaegol and Oliver and one kakariki bird (female) called Cleo (Cleopatra), we had one male as well before called Caesar but he sadly died a few weeks ago =(

How old is he. How long do they live for? How large will he grow... if he isn't already completely grown?

Rex is 3, which makes him a young adult (full maturity in 3-5 years), but like most reptiles, monitors never truly stop growing.

Black Throated Monitors live anywhere from 12-20 years, so no they're not the pet for someone who lacks commitment.

Rex is just under 4 feet long, but he may grow up to 9 feet long... These pets are not for people who like gecko's.

Note: 4 and 9 foot measurements do include tail. Right now he's about 2 feet long in the body, but they can be twice that or even a bit more, with a tail slightly longer then their bodies.

I had a cat for two years named Pip after Pip from Great Expectations as my mother and then girlfriend had such expectations of this cat. He's now living with said ex-girlfriend and is happeh.

I have two dogs and two cats, these are my two dogs, Regan,a Belgium Shephard,and Rosie, a Rotweiler, who is 2 months old now. Rosie is hyper a lot of the time, a bit of hard work sometimes, but she's a puppy, yesterday she bit right through my ps3 controller charger.

And here is a picture of one of my cats, called Tribble, who we adopted. He was an abused cat, we think he was beaten since if anyone raises a hand quickly he will cower and run. When we first met him he was skinny and very dirty, but after a year he trusted us and then he just became one of the family. He is very loving cat My other cat is called Stretchy but at the moment I don't have any good pictures of him that I've uploaded, he is adorable and very loving.

Awesome. Have to admit I'm learning more as I go along. I'm guessing he's normally kept in a viv or faunarium. How large would that be?

Pliskens viv is 2 by 1 feet. He's only about 2 feet long. A monitors viv / faun must be massive considering the size difference

Far from buying anything I just built a enclosure for him that I based off of a rabbit hutch. It takes up about half of my garage (it is about 6 by 2 feet and two feet high), is a pain to clean, but can also keep him IN, unlike a plastic faunarium. So long as it is inside and given heat lamps, the circulation is actually better, and monitors don't smell (barring if you're too lazy to clean out their cage) so you don't have to worry about air pollution.

If you own a reptile that big commercial rabbit hutches and the like are better than faunariums so long as you make sure to have a more sheltered area with a plentitude of heat lamps/heated rocks.

I have 2 dogs, Cashius and Juse...

Cashius is a Rottie/Lab/Bulldog Mix who is Black on the top and Brown on the bottom... He's about 8 years old!

Juse is a white Boxer who is turning 2 this Christmas! He's dumb as a post...

I have one dog, he is a King Charles and he's called Oscar. I've had him for about six years now and I think he is around 8/9 years old. He is lazy, smelly and won't obey any commands, but I love him to bits.

Rats are what I feed him , altthough if he reaches full size I could feed him whole chicken... or three rats. Whichever is cheaper.

Three dogs all female.

One is a pitbull mix-Tolula 2 years old -- adopted her when she was 3 months
One is a pointer mix- Olive 2 years old--adopted when she was about a month
The last is a pure bred chihuahua- one year old--given to us when she was born

I like yo dogs man!
