I like his attitude, but I think he's still missing the point; if they as a company are behaving themselves, then there should be no need for sugarcoating.
Announcing a horrible idea in an honest way may give a few points for integrity, but it doesn't make the idea any less horrible.
If, as a company, all you care about is whether or not people realise that it's a horrible idea, well, then... "Xbox One! From the creators of Windows 8!" Am I right?

Honesty? That's what we're calling honesty these days? Simply using the words "confused" to describe what they were doing is dishonest. No, there was very little confusion on what their goal was, unless they are admitting they had no idea how bad they were at lying.
