Phone help, please?

My sister's phone has just died, and what with me being my family's resident tech guy she came to me for help. I couldn't figure out exactly what was wrong with it, so I've turned to the internet.

The phone says that it couldn't find the SIM card in it, and I think it's something to do with the SIM card itself rather than the phone, as I tried the card in my phone and it didn't work there either. The phone and SIM card in question are both 10 months old, if that affects anything.

Any ideas guys?

If the SIM isn't locked then it might be because the information area is scratched. I don't know, perhaps you should just phone and ask tech support.

Happened to my phone also. The phone is shit now, call the provider and they could provide you with a replacement

There is nothing wrong with the sim card
