Hello all,
I am not sure if this kind of shameless self-promotion is bad forum etiquette as I am new to forums and The Escapist, but I like it here so please forgive me if it is. I will learn from my mistakes. I read through the forum guidelines and found nothing to suggest it is, so here goes:
I am currently in Ghana, West Africa as part of my university course. I am a 3rd year music student at an arts college in Devon, England. I am here to train under a master drummer in traditional drumming and dancing. While here I am also doing a photographic project for my Visual Arts minor. I have created a set on Flickr with some of my Ghana photos and I am looking anywhere and everywhere for *constructive* criticism. Having spent the last week or so on the Escapist forums I have come to the conclusion that it is largely populated by intelligent, discerning, thoughtful people, who are certainly more than happy to let their real opinion be known.
Please be honest. I really am looking for criticism here, I'm not just fishing for compliments, which is why I am posting this here. But please do also be kind - I'm a sensitive artist
I am tempted to ask you not to post if you just want to say "great pics good job" but my ego won't let me.
Oh I should mention that my pictures are under copyright but I am happy to let people use them for most things most of the time, but please ask first, if only to make me feel good that people like my work.
