Evidently I like taking macro shots of flowers, and you can see more of my work by looking at the link to my Deviant Art account on my profile.

Enough of my garble though, why don't you post some of your favourite photographs you've taken?

My Photostream [http://www.flickr.com/photos/85755850@N05/]

It's mostly just pictures of holidays, although there are quite a few pictures on there with me experimenting with Iso settings, some turned out rubbish and some turned out ok. I also don't generally bother editing them with GIMP afterwards so most places did look like that when I took the picture. Anyway, my favourite ones are probably these, which were taken like most of these photos on the Isle of Wight:

I'm antsy about sharing my (public!) Flickr account, but I rather like this particular photo. It's not a technical marvel and like most of my photos it was taken on the camera of whatever phone I owned at the time - I have a hand-me-down DSLR from my Dad but it stays at home because I can never be bothered lugging the weight about! - but it's more the memory of the situation that means as much as it does.

It was taken on Itsukushima/Miyajima, a small island in Hiroshima Bay. At high tide the waters go up past the shrine's Torii gate so that it appears to be floating and from the right angle the sun sets right between the gate posts. I was on holiday in Japan with my Mum and Dad and had a great time overall but (despite the crowds of tourists all trying to get similar shots) it was a calm, beautiful end to a lovely day. Wonderful island with tame deer, definitely worth a visit for anyone having a look around Hiroshima - which is also well worth a visit.

I've got a good few photos of flowers as well, from when I try to be arty-farty - those and old wood/door handles for "texture" shots. I also like taking photos of pretty skies, as I find them particularly distracting.

I love taking pictures of flowers, but most look so plain. Like they're good, but anyone could have taken them.
I like finding cool places or interesting lighting for pictures.
This was on my older crappy camera but I still love the scene.
My best work and favorite thing to take pictures of are cats.
