I've searched the forums and found a few dead threads on photography and photoshop...what none about combining the two!
I'm a big fan of the Photoshop composite, especially shooting a lot of the elements yourself. Some stuff i did today is below, but is anyone else into Photoshop too? :D

A sort of Superman "secret hero" theme

A leftover from another shoot that i turned into a halo shooter (im aware that they are being shot by people with human weapons, not covenant :p)

Something i knocked up for my fiance (now wife) for our second anniverary, got a big 30" print done :)

Messin' around with some 3D objects in Photoshop

Cheers man! I work at a pro photo lab, but it's mostly fixing lame colour stuff...compositing is more of a creative outlet :)

Been doing a load of 'shopping for my architecture course, working up renders of my design for the final exhibition on Monday (eep)

A little bit lower resolution than the meter or so they are on the wall, but I think the aesthetic works for a Tai Chi centre :)

Really? lol, everything I've heard about the business is that it's an underpaid slugfest with flighty clients and companies who would much rather take your plans and contract it out to the lowest bidder. Been enjoying the end of this phase of the education though!

I would never be able to bring myself to do that to someones hard work. It does look very beautiful. Hope you do well with this one! :D

Maybe it's a little different in Australia...my mate works for a firm who did the Red Steps in New york...but he mainly works on City residential stuff. They do spend a lot of time working on stuff that may never get built though haha.

Note to self: consider Australia for potential future employment ;) Entering competitions and designing for the hell of it does seem to be a common architectural pastime, along with designing expensive furniture. Beats doing garages and porches, I guess :)

How did you decide on what sort of look you were going for in your images? Just start playing and see what happened, or did you go in with a clear idea and realise it?

A bit of both actually. The top two i had shot all the elements like 9 months ago, and only just worked out what i wanted to do with them. I usually sketch stuff out first though :)

I used to use a combination of of Paint.net and MS Paint to alter images, but even my best one wasn't on par with anything you have done. I can't even begin to figure out how the new MS Paint works...

I use Photoshop. I just don't have anything really spectacular to show like you guys do.

You all seem way out of my league, but I'll jump in anyway since I can't sleep.

I use photoshop more as an easier way for me to draw:

I am certified in Photoshop and have the adobe certificate to prove it! =3

I will see what I can dredge up...I'm not the most confident fellow when it comes to my art...

Edit: OK, I could only find one picture that combines both my photography and photoshop that I feel confident enough to show.

Then I have something completely made in photoshop.

And finally, here is some photography for shits and giggles! ;3

Nice dude, did you shoot all those elements yourself?
How long did the photoshop only one take? It's goddamn intricate! :D
