What is it? BANG, BOOM, SMACK, THUD, and other flavors of onomatopoeias have been used and I get it; but "PHWOARR"? Seriously, I've been watching ZP for years and seen it used as a sound effect a number of times and I can never picture what it's supposed to emulate. Can someone enlighten me?

Prima: "Dude I bet I can totally rip this guy in half"
Secunda: "Prove it"
(Random person is lifted from ground)
Prima: "PHWOARR!"
(As he says this, Random person is ripped in half)
Secunda: "DUUUUDE!"

That could work.

'fraid not, sorry. But I do like watching BBC if that counts for anything.

PHWOARR is a British thing. I'm British. I don't know why it is a "word", but it is and I can identify when it should and should not be used.

Usually when you see somebody you find to be immensely attractive.

Well as all British children are taught at a young age, "Phwoar" is usually used when describing a bird wot's fit and that

It can be used in a myriad of circumstances.

"Phwooar, that women is hot!"
"Phwooar! That car is awesome!"
It's basically a word to describe an immediate liking of something, with a hint of sexual undertones.

It's PHWOARR! But it's more sort of Foo-waaagh. It's mostly "Phwoarr! She's hot!" but can also be used for "Phwoarr! Look at that car!", "Phwoarr! That's a lot of money!". A general appreciative Wow.

Isn't PHWOARR the sound of the horn that plays in the Inception Trailer?

"Phwoar" a very english and very crude way of showing attraction to something, often sexual in context.

Personally i never used to say it, and then i dated a girl who did and it crept into my vocabulary. ¬_¬ and it occasionally escapes my mouth when i ain't too careful.

Good to know, I was wondering as well. Oh Britain, how I'd love to visit thee.

onomatopoeia has some vastly different outcomes in different languages/dialects so Phwooar doesn't sound that strange to me, since I've heard ones that I have trouble even almost understanding.

Isnt Yahtzee Australian though?
He's British but lives here in Australia. I'm guessing it's an Aussie term though. Hell it's written on the side of the the KFC boxes here.
