To be more specific water crystallizes when it freezes and the structures created are less dense than the liquid which is why it floats.

Im sure there are more things than water that do that.
Water is not unique in this regard but this property of water (itself a result of the polar nature of the water molecule - that is, the molecule, thanks to the mass of the oxygen atom, has a positive "side" and a negative "side"), is fundamental to life existing on earth. Indeed, were it not for the fact that water is a polar molecule, life as we know it would not exist.

Someone mentioned to me today that 1337% of Pi = 42. Sure enough, I ran the numbers and to two decimal places, Pi * 13.37 = 42.00.

For Discussion: Share something that when someone said it to you, you were like "really?" then you found out it was true and you were like "holy shit."
For your sake and mine, Sim, let's hope the frigging leet-speakers don't take this as anything more than a fun factoid. 'Cause I swear, if I hear about a Cult of Adams showing up with people chanting in leet, I am leaving the goddamn planet and never looking back.

When I found out that Rock type attacks were neutral against Rock type Pokemon.

I had always thought they were Not Very Effective. I was really surprised.
I had much the same reaction.

My mind was blown.

If you write down 3.14 and flip it, like so:

Then... well, yeah, that happens. I think it's quite cool.

Also, if you down 3.14, mirror it in the horizontal plane underneath it, then mirror it in the vertical plane (either side), it says

:-O

Also, I thought this video of an organutan nursing a baby bird to health was pretty mind-blowing:

That little spider is awesome, I saw a discovery show about it communicating with a little robot spider the research team had made, and how the thing could adapt, from a little jumping spider that is nucking futs!

And the OP's... holy cow on a sheep riding a dolphin in the... that is awesome and makes my hidden nerd sense tingle :p
