Piano Rock Songs?

I know there are many different music threads already up but this is something I couldn't find. I have been playing piano for a little while and I love having the classic piano sound in modern rock songs. I'm hoping someone here might have a similar attraction to this kind of music and point me towards songs like Sunburn by Muse: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7i5AOGTbpRw , cool straight piano songs such as Bloody Tears in Castlevania http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MM_Q0nfaG0 , or just discuss a little about the style.

Just two things I would like to add: songs are more helpful than band names. (Eg. I know Dream Theater has some great keyboard, but I don't know which songs they have which fully utilize it.) The other point is please keep "fanboy" like comments out of the thread. It's nice to know that you prefer style x, but just because style y has problem z probably isn't going to convince anyone to suddenly change music tastes to style x.

Warren Zevon is a good one. But he's very "classic rock" good songs are...
Werewolves of London
Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner
Johnny Strikes Up the Band

Also in more modern rock there is The Hold Steady, probably one of the best "piano" rock bands there is.

There's also Keane, but they're probably way to light for you (no guitar, only drums and piano)

By piano, do you mean piano or both piano and keyboard. Because I love the keyboard in rock n' roll. Piano sound can work wonders (anywhere from Jerry Lee Lewis to Billy Joel) but I love the sound of the keyboard (Rick Wakeman=greatest musician ever).
For keyboard, you've got:
Stratovarius-Black Diamond
Yes-Roundabout
Emerson, Lake, and Palmer-Any song by them (that was their main instrument, no guitar most of the time)

Everything's Ruined by Faith No More features a piano. Nothing show stealing, but it created a pretty interesting sound to me, especially for a grunge-rock band.

EDIT: You should also check out '"Libera Me" From Hell' by Taku Iwasaki from the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann soundtrack. It has piano but its not rock, its actually opera mixed with rap, and while I'm not a fan of either of those I love that song.

if you don't mind some older stuff, there's some fantastic Queen with some awesome rock piano solos, Seven Seas of Rhye leaps immediately to mind. other than that you have Ben Folds' epics One angry Dwarf and two hundred solemn faces, underground, and Zak and Sara

I'm with jim_doki, Ben Folds Five is where it's at for recent piano rock. I've been listening since I heard "Battle of Who Could Care Less" on a college radio station around 1996. "My Philosophy" and "Song for the Dumped" are fun too.
Since Billy Joel has been mentioned, that leaves Elton John. I'm not a fan, to be honest, but everyone knows "Bennie and the Jets" when they hear it. Play that at a party and someone is likely to end up singing.

Queen, Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd, some Rolling Stones, Eric Burton and The Animals use the piano alot, and of course The Doors use the organ in almost every song.

yeah only his pre-80s stuff, after that he did more ballads and crap, my mom's a fan so i've been subjected to him over the years

there is Rush as well but they use more synth keyboards rather than actual real piano

Bat Out Of Hell by Meatloaf. If you can play that all the way through, I'll be impressed.
I'm not looking for songs to play, just good music. Besides, I'm self taught so I just play impromptu, I'm horrible at playing real songs.

There's some albums on iTunes that might interest you.
They're by Vitamin Piano Series & are called "The Piano Tribute to Iron Maiden" & "Bite The Ivory - The Piano Tribute to Metallica".

They've also done covers of R.E.M., Nirvana, Rush, Pink Floyd...

In my opinion, if a tune is good then it'll also sound good played (well) on the piano.

That's what I was gonna say. The intro to that song alone is just beautiful.
