You will leave a mark and most other songs by A Silent Film. They're a very good piano rock band.
That's not necessarily true, most songs involving piano are incredibly basic (excluding Muse from that as he is classically trained and you can tell) and as such a decent pianist can fill in the rhythm. Practice arpeggios and you'll get there, I would suggest Radiohead as they were written on piano originally so are easy to transpose in their entirity back to piano.ctrl-alt-postal said:Why limit yourself? I taught myself to play pink floyds "is there anybody out there?" instrumental on piano and it sounds real sweat (ok, not exactly rock...). Arlo Guthrie's "coming into Los Angeles" works quite well if you get the bassline going on. Violent Femmes "Blister in the Sun" is fun to play on the keys. "Stray Cat Strut", the Stray Cats, is also a great tune.
Have you a band/crew you are playing with or solo? I find sometimes, A song has a real nice piano section but remove the rest of the song and it goes no-where without the rhythm section.
Thx for the castlevania link.
I liked Reliant K as well. That song brings back memories.TheNamlessGuy said:Some of Relient K's songs have piano.
