It's just different I suppose. It can add character to the way someone looks, enhance their features say. You can't make someone you find unnattractive attractive with piercings, but if you're that way inclined piercings can make someone you find attractive more so.
Everyone has their own specific turn-ons and turn-offs, this is just another layer.
Plus like I said earlier, tongue piercings have a definite practical use too...

Face piercing look fucking disgusting
This, but I let snakebites, nose piercings and normal ear piercings (the kind nearly ALL women have) slide.
What's a snakebite? Is it the madonna, top lip?
It's these, occasionally in stud form, but I prefer rings, either one or two.
-snip-
Couldn't find a female picture though.
That looks cool. I knew a guy who had that and a third one in the middle, so he had 3 spikes under his lip. It looked awesome but he mustve had trouble kissing women with it.

I have a ring in my left eyebrow. I used to have a stud under my lip but I got rid of it mainly because I was constantly aware it was there. Its a problem I have with jewelry.

I myself don't have any. I had an ear ring in my rebellious youth phase, but it's long gone.

I love piercings on women though.

Good for some, bad for others I suppose.

Bad for me because I would look ridiculous and have a fear of metal attached to the body.

I mean what if you had to fight Magneto or some magnet? I already have a slight fear for MRIs and I don't even have any piercing.

I wouldn't say they look disgusting... but I don't see the point in them. Even on girls. Yes, they may look all shiny and nice sometimes, but really all a peircing does is cause a hassle in trying to maintain your hole in your... whatever you peirced and paying for new earrings or whatever to put in them.

Waste of money, time, and energy.

And I fucking hate needles... so that probably says a lot about why I won't be getting any peircings anytime soon, other than what was stated above :D
Just like what this person said....Whats the point! I'm not saying I think they look disgusting but why would you want to pierce anything on your body but your ears?
Do people who get them think their fashionable,do they want to impress someone, does it make them feel "cool"?
If any one Here has one could you let me know why, I can't think of why a person would pay to get something lugged in their body parts.

I just have my ears pierced. One hole on each side.
I don't really like piercings on anyone, you're just putting holes in your body. XD

I used to have both lobes pierced and stretched the one to a 16mm hole, but closed it up like a year ago when I started getting tattooed and realised how much metal in my skin gets on my nerves lol. I still think some piercings look cool, especially nose rings (got a thing for them) but I much prefer the art of tattooing
I feel the same way too. I started off with piercings, 21 holes left ear, 27 holes right eye, both nipples, belly button, downstairs, and 2 in my tongue. Then I discovered tattooing and never looked back. Took out all my piercings except for a few in my ears. Got sick of all the metal, the look of it, and had a couple torn out.>_< ouch

i got the same piercing as the OP ^^ hurts like a ***** for months though.
Really? I haven't noticed mine hurting at all. I can't sleep on that side yet, and it'll be sore if I accidentally yank my hair through it, but most of the time I don't feel a thing.

I used to have snakebites and a nose piercing but the nose piercing wouldn't heal at all for me and one of the lip piercings randomly started migrating up through my lip so that was removed quickly :|

I hate facial piercings, especially on women.
Ear piercings are ok, as are navel piercings, but I don't like the look of other piercings.

An example of piercing hotness... Also, likely an example of how beauty is in the eye of the beholder, for many of those of you on here who don't innately grasp the aesthetic magnetism of it.

As for myself, sure, who doesn't enjoy sticking themselves full of needles? Play piercing is as good a way to pass the time as any, but I don't bother to hang jewelry from it.
This made me gag...

I don't like that top one, but there is something horrifyingly beautiful about corset piercings. I'd never have it done myself, though...

I like peircings, as long as it's well done and not overly done. The only kind I don't like would be bull rings. Click here [http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1352/1110475576_d401433dd8.jpg?v=0] if you don't know what they are.
I don't have any myself, just a tatto.

Ahgad, I was googling "unusual piercings", and came across this [http://media.photobucket.com/image/unusual%20piercings/tihami/zip.jpg]. I like piercings, but this, I just don't get.

if that's not a photoshop it would be a pain in the ass to keep clean and open, as soon as you zipped it up it would start closing up. tongue piercings are the only ones that if you remove them, they'll close up no matter how long you've had them

In light of me receiving my first piercing this week, I thought I'd commemorate the occasion with a thread about piercings.

I got the top (cartilage) of my left ear done, but I'm planning to get more. Next, I want one of those bars that goes across the top, through two holes (see here [http://z.about.com/d/tattoo/1/0/s/i/1/ear4.jpg]). Then, after that, I'll probably have something put lower down, in or near the lobe so my ear doesn't look too top heavy. I might get something in the other ear, too - but I haven't decided what yet. I'm also considering a lip piercing, too, eventually.

So, what piercings do you guys have? What made you decide to get them? Do you find a person with piercings more or less attractive?

Pics would be good, too. As long as its not, you know, a nipple ring or something >_<

hehe, my 8 year old got his first a few weeks ago and is wanting to gauge up already.

I have a few...numerous on both ears, the lower ones being 12 gauges, Have my belly done, and I had one on my " insert female reproductive organ here" which I removed and let close up

I traded in hardware for ink tough.

A friend of mine has ~3 inch gauges. I see no way that those will heal up without reconstructive ear surgery, if there even is such a thing. He pulls it off though, and he'd damn well better.

I don't like the idea of forcing a foreign object into a part of my body with the intention of creating a new hole.

I just have both my ears done. Nose rings are stupid, and I laugh every time I see a guy with a nose ring. Bellybutton is meh to me, hardly anyone can pull off a eyebrow ring. My girlfriend has her lip pierced on the side though...it suits her.
