Also, the designation you gave your second rifle, "AR-352" is inaccurate, AR refers not to "assault rifle" but to ARmalite, the company that produced the original AR15 design (the rifle the M16A1 was adapted from) and concurrently applies to all rifles patterned after the AR15. they have those, they are California legal AR15s, no pistol grip rifles in Cali I'm afraid,
the tube above the stock is the buffer tube, houses the components required for the rifle to recoil properly, hence the buffer tube on the patriot in MGS4.
