Nice job, looks a little like the 9A91 -
Also, I'm wondering if anyone could tell me what a gas block is for. I can't find information on the Internet, just stuff about installation and servicing.
Huh, yeah, it kind of does.

I really don't know. I can't find any helpful information on the net. My guess is that it either blocks or redirects the explosive gases, but I have no idea what that would do.

Well, i think it is so the gasses from the explosion to make the bolt go back, and chamber another round. Again, i THINK thats what it does. Ask sticky!

i knew it was a good idea to save these
here's a detailed animated diagram of the AK style Short stroke piston, and below that, two gifs showing short stroke piston(AK) and direct impingement(AR-15) (direct impingement is teh suck) the short stroke piston image is actually different than the AK, but the AK works on the same principle
The gas block just redirects some of the gases back through the gas tube to cycle the action.

Hey everybody, I've been gone awhile but I got a few things done.
http://lord-malachi.deviantart.com/gallery/#Weapons
The SA - **** - 10 stuff should mostly be all new (I have no idea what ive posted and dont know what pages it would be on anymore lol), look at what interests you.
I would like to toss the MICR1 into sticky's "Good enough for Uniformed Anime" contest however lol (I made it before reading the earlier post on why the .50AE is bad, so im suprised I didn't use the AE)

Well how about that. To be honest most of my gun designs don't have a gas block, but I guess I need one.

Thanks for the explanation, Sticky!

EDIT: I was just suring The Firearms Blog, and I have to say I am dissapointed. I know that in real life guns don't shoot lazers or have seven barrels, but the weapons on display were bland and uninspired. Its a heaping plate of copypasta without enough basil.

Check it out if you don't mind repetition. http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/

A kinda cool rifle I threw together. Again, I accept my payments in hot military babes.

Would what appears to be a magnifyer inside of a holo sight still act like a holo? or an acog?

Ya know, I think Id like to add the TAS2 to the uniform contest, based on how practical the spare shell idea is.

And if people would prefer that I post the actual pics instead of links to my DA just say so, I can switch if it means feedback ^.^
