Plain simple mirrors giving me thoughts

thing i some times end up doing while seeing a mirror is to put other against it...
you know... see the endless tunnel of reflections which looks cool for about 10 seconds and gets booring...

now this morning i did this along with my basic morning things but now i had thought...
are the reflections endless when perfectly aligned....

this has been bothering me now about 7 hours so i wonder does anyone know if there is actual studies or something about this

Well, a mirror reflects a surface. If a mirror is reflecting a mirror, it is reflecting a reflection of a reflection. I think it's fairly safe to assume it's infinite.

So is it bothering you why you are fascinated by it?

It's an accidental by product of the mirror itself. It was never designed to specifically create an endless reflection but the fact that that it does make our brains question whether it actually goes on forever.

It's like what happens when I think about the universe and life I little too much.

happens every week at least once

Im bothered because im so bloody facinated thought of achieving infinity for a moment by plain objects.
and because you cant actually look in the mirrors when even when "perfectly aligned" so you never cant be sure...

I extremely curious by nature and especially about matters like life,death reasons for things.
thinking these as kid and then learning that by philosophy i could learn more about thoughts about same things i wondered and perhaps one day finally understad...

and here i am... studying philosophy at college level and being amazed how small things can make so big deal for me. oh how wonderfully annoying life can be.
