The subject pretty much says it all, Plan 9 from Outer Space is coming to select theaters around the US tomorrow(Oct. 8) at 7:30pm.

Being the fan of Mystery Science Theater that I am, I'm bursting at the seams to get a chance to see this on a big screen and this particular movie for the first time. I also wanted to alert people to this event since it may be flying under the radar a bit.

If you want to get a list of theaters showing it, just go to the Rifftrax website and it should be pretty obvious.

Do you mean Planet?

I'm confused though because you used plan twice.

Are we talking about the movie here?

I saw this during the first run last month. It was hilarious from the Stewardess short to Lowtax's parody commercials to the actual Plan 9 riffing itself. Definitely worth seeing at least once, even if it is a rerun of a live taped performance.

...I wonder why they'd do that...
I guess there's just enough MST3K nerds around to make it seem profitable. Or they've just decided we're unworthy to live and found a good way to round us all up.

Plan 9?

Why does that sound familiar? I vaguely recall reading something about it. Something that said it was one of the worst movies ever made.

Anyone want to tell me what it is?

You're right. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plan_9_from_Outer_Space#cite_note-18] I've seen most of it, and it's a pretty special brand of craptacular. Short version: It's a sci-fi film made by Ed Wood, and it's amateurish even by 50's standards; several of the scenes flip from day to night and back, the main character gets run over by a car on his front lawn (off-camera, natch)... just, y'know, go watch it. [http://www.spike.com/video/plan-9-from-outer/2831785?cmpnid=753&pt=sr&refsite=7063] It has to be experienced to be believed, because otherwise you'll swear I'm making it up. xD

Also, for anyone who wasn't aware, check this out. [http://www.plan9movie.com/trailer.html] Remaking the worst movie ever made is either genius or retarded, no?
