So, I've started my rather strange journey into Sigil. I was wondering if any of you could offer advice on what I should do first? I managed to bluff my way through the Mortuary and sabotage the giant skeletons for experience, but I don't know where to start.

I've asked around for Pharod, but I'm also looking for a place to sell my crap.

Also, are there any mods that make the game work in widescreen? It's very close to the camera.

- You can sell your trinkets at the marketplace. It's south of the mortuary exit.

- Find the 'Smouldering Corpse Bar' (I'm pretty sure you can go there as soon as you leave the mortuary) and talk to everyone. A couple of people in there help with quests and one guy (whose name escapes me, Daffyd or something) will join you. He's a fighter/mage hybrid and pretty handy to have around. (Plus the extra inventory slots are always nice.)

- If you want to change class to mage or rogue then head to 'Ragpicker's Square' (west from mortuary). Although going mage requires a bit of fetch quest busywork.

When you run across a "Junk" item, hold on to it. You only need one, but it's a pain to search for them later.

Dak'kon, and he is awesome, both as a fighter and as a character, and the fact that he's voiced by The X-Files' Mitch Pileggi only helps. Be sure to ask him about Zerthimon.

Here you go, my good man, one widescreen mod coming up.

As for general advice, I'd suggest going mage and sticking to that class. You'll get a lot more out of it, because of stat distribution for mages benefit conversation as well, which is a big deal in this game. Combat really isn't where the game shines, so I wouldn't really worry too much about a "perfect" setup, in terms of party and combat skills.

Without giving to much away, go west, when you look at the Sigil map. You have to get down a level to find Pharod and you'll get there in the western end of playable Sigil.

EDIT: Goddamn ninjas! Second time in two days!

I'd recommend dicking about the various parts of Sigil as much as possible before you go searching for Pharod. There are a lot of great sidequests, and they'll help you get leveled up to a point that you won't have to worry about combat too much when you're dungeon crawling below Ragpicker's Square.

ALSO, try not to die too much. Sometimes it's beneficial to die, but if you do it too much, you might regret it later.

Lastly, Endure. In enduring, grow strong.

Well, if you pretend your name is "Adahn" all the time (will drive you towards chaotic, tho, so keep that in mind), something interesting may happen at a later time. Also, do not open the box! It's more fun that way.

Update your journal.

Anyway, this [http://thunderpeel2001.blogspot.com/2009/01/planescape-torment-fully-modded.html] is a great mod guide. From essential stuff like widescreen and bugfixes to cut content and little tweaks like faster party banter.
