One of my best friends is going to be getting married in about 5 months or so, and I've begun planning his bachelor party, which will take place in Las Vegas in about 4 months. The whole thing will be 2 days and 3 nights (Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday).

I'm looking for some advice for things we can do while we're there.

I already have some ideas of what we want to do which include some really nice restaurants, and driving a racing Ferrari at 200 miles per hour, as well as some...adult entertainment. Still I'd like to hear some other suggestions as well because I'd like to have some extra options while planning.

Thanks for any advice.

edit: Don't suggest "clubbing." Everyone in my group of friends hates nightclubs, including me.

Make sure you have pizza at some point during. Always pizza...

Actually I'm supposed to be planning a bachelor party too. There was a falling out or something, and I was the most experienced/ fun of the other friends I guess so it fell to me all of the sudden.

I'll be watching this thread for ideas xD

I have been toying with the idea of a trip to skyzone. Its a trampoline place that's kind of awesome. So maybe look for something fun like that?

I don't know... From what you've said, your friend already seems rather different than mine.

I'm projecting a great deal, but I've only wanted to go to Vegas for one thing, and that's to see Penn and Teller perform. They live there, makes sense to go see them.

I don't understand the tradition of going to strip clubs for someone's bachelor party (I'm guessing that's what you mean by "adult entertainment"). It seems pretty damn tasteless and disrespectful to the person's partner to arrange something like that for him. Besides, if someone's desperate to gawk at naked women one last time in the hope that it'll tide them over until they get divorced or die, they probably shouldn't be getting married.

But hey, if he's into that and everyone is comfortable with it, fine. Otherwise I'd probably arrange something else.

Actually the strip club is his fiance's idea. He's never been to one and I haven't told him about it yet.

Hmm... a co-worker of mine took his brother to Vegas for his bachelor party, and one of the things that ended up being a favourite was a place out in the desert that was basically a rockets-and-grenades firing range.

They did the standard shows/beverages/gambling stuff too - but the explosives are the part they keep talking about.

Any idea which range it was? I've been looking into a few places like that, but so far all of them are kind of far out of our way (we're driving there from California).

You want to be especially careful if you haven't mentioned the strip club thing then. I would suggest you make sure he is okay with it beforehand since he might not be comfortable with it. The worst thing to happen would be if he only found out at the time and got really upset. Don't just assume he will be fine with it even if you are almost certain they will be.

There is a helicopter ride you can take to see the grand canyon. Not sure if you would be interested in that though.
They usually have good shows on too, I went to see the body exhibition, you know the ones with the dead people that have been covered in some kind of resin to preserve them?
It was most fascinating.
I recall there being a place on the strip that rents ferraris and Lamborghinis, if you wanted to try that.
Has been a few years now since I went so I can't remember it too well unfortunately, hope this helps though.
Oh there is an airforce base nearby so if your a bit sad/geeky like me you could watch f22 raptors take off.

I don't know, but I'll ask him this afternoon.

Sorry for the delay on this - he said they went to two: one on Blue Mountain Road that had the most impressive big weapons (he mentioned RPGs), and one off Tropicana that had the widest selection of handguns. He said there was another one by the zipline where they had a reservation, but that they walked in and decided not to stay (he said it was huge, but that you wait for your turn in a bar, and they didn't want to be on the same range with people who were drunk off their faces).
