platforming recommendations?

Love the style of gameplay but I can't really find any real platforming games lately.

Any recommendations?

I have already played of the following so please do not include:
Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank(all of them), Portal, Mirrors edge, Psychonauts, team ico games, and Prince of Persia SOT trilogy.

Nothing older than the ps2 and the gamecube please.

Recent Mario games are perfect for platforming, I think. Mario Galaxy has some of the most inventive platforming levels I have ever seen. Sunshine is not as great, but there is definitely some bright spots.

If you have a decent computer/or a 360 you can play Super Meat Boy.

It's awesome, and it's on sale on Steam if you want to get it for PC.

Klonoa for Wii is an excellent platforming game. It's the only title I know that actually earns the term "2.5D" to describe it, and that experience alone is worth the low price of purchase.

On top of that, it really is a stellar game! A little skewed toward beginners, but if you're a completionist then your skills really will be put to the test.

The Mario Galaxies are good. NSMB: Wii, Donkey Kong Country returns, De Blob, Assassin's Creed.

Why nothing older than the PS2?
A lot of the better ones are older than that.

Oh well, You may like Okami, It's obstesibly an action adventure game (think Legend of Zelda) But has plenty of platforming and is one of the best (in my opinion) games on the PS2 if not ever.

And I know they're older than you requested but you could look into downloading Banjo-Kazooie and/or Banjo Tooie from Xbox Live.

It's an 8-bit ninja gaiden/mega man 2d side scroller for windows PC's. Awesome game, fairly difficult (think NES hard, and made by Jonathan Lavigne (of Scott Pilgrim fame). Also it's free.

Well, for games this generation... there aren't many (apart from the ones you mentioned). Platforming is dead.

The Mario games are perfect platformers, though. Sunshine, Galaxy, Galaxy 2, any of them will do.

any of those would be a fantastic choice.
